Engines Of The Purge

Day 1(Percy's Pov)

It was a beautiful day on The Island Of Sodor. The engines were huffing happily and working hard. Percy was on his way to Wellsworth to pick up some trucks. While Percy work on The Ffarquhar Branchline, he sometimes goes to other stations to pick up trucks when the other engines are busy. Percy pulled into the yard at Wellsworth, he then saw Edward at the platform with his passenger train, but he wasn't happy.

"Good afternoon Edward, you don't look happy, is something wrong?"

"Well, yesterday, a police officer told me there is not enough law enforcement on this island, he said if something does not change, drastic things might start happening,"

Percy opened his mouth, but before he could speak, the radio came on.

"Can I please get a few minutes of silence from you sudrains before I go on," Said the voice on the other side of the radio.

Edward, Percy, Becca, Coral and several people went pale, they knew whenever someone on the radio asked for silence, they knew it was serious. None of them could say anything, so the broadcast went on.

"If you may know or not know, crime on Sodor has gone up because there is not enough law enforcement. We are trying to get more officers from The Mainland, but unfortunately it is taking longer than expected, so till then, we are announcing a purge for the next 2 weeks. During this purge all the crime, including murder will be legal. During this time the bridge will be raised and nobody will be able to enter or leave the island. We wish we didn't have to do this, but we have to. There is one piece of good news though and that is the number 10, Douglas is at Barrow and will not be going back to Sodor, so he is safe. I wish I could talk more but I have to rape this up, good and luck and let the purge begin,"

Percy and Edward didn;t know what to say or do. Unfortunately, many people in the yard hated their jobs and had guns on them. They pulled out their guns and started shooting anything and everything they could see.

"EVERYONE GET ON BORED, PERCY GET OUT OF HERE!" Yelled Edward as passenger scrambled in Becca and Coral.

Percy raced backwards out of the yard, but not before he was shot in the right eye by a bullet.

Percy raced back through the forest and onto The Loop Line. He slowed down as he reached Elsbridge, which was good as the points were set for a siding. As he pulled into a siding, the points changed and Thomas raced past with Annie and Clarabel. As soon as they were out of sight, Ben raced by, but unlike Thomas, he seemed to be enjoying it. Before Percy could yell out to him, Ben was racing down the branchline.

"You Alright?"

Percy jumped, he had not noticed Daisy was in the shed next to him till she had spoken up.

"Not really, I got shot while escaping Wellsworth, and I don't know if Thomas and the others will be alright," Percy said, starting to cry.

"Don't worry Percy, you're not like us humans, you can still be you with it, we will leave it for now and attend to it if it gets worse," Said the fireman.

"Thomas is strong, he'll be fine, I don't know about the others though," Daisy said.

"Well, we have to fight through this for the next 2 weeks, i'm not strong enough and we can't get to The Mainland," Percy said, starting to sob.

Hours went by and the two stayed at Elsbridge. The crews and workmen search the town and convinced most of the residents to join their group. The ones that did not join got in the cars and went off to purge. No engines had gone by since Ben did, which made Percy lose more hope, but Daisy slowly helped Percy heal.

"So, what do we do tomorrow?" Percy asked once it had gotten dark.

"We are going to wait for survivors to come by to see if more made it, then we search the branchline," Said Daisy's driver.

"Alright,"

"We should get to sleep now, we might need our rest for tomorrow,"

"Alright, goodnight,"

So everyone slowly went to sleep, not knowing what the rest of the purge would bring.
