The gamble of love

Jo's POV

After me and Charles had our conversation we went back outside to join the others for lunch. I am starving since I missed breakfast. We all sat down, except Lando and Magui. I haven't seen him which makes me worry.
After lunch I walked over to Charles. "I am going to go find Lando." He doesn't look to pleased but he said it's fine as he was about to go talk to Carlos. He gives me a kiss and walks off. I turn around and see Rebecca, her eyes wide as she smiles at me. "Are you two finally exclusive?" She asked excitedly. I laugh. "Well Carlos knows if that is what you mean. No one else yet." I tell her. "I am really happy for you, I think Charles is a great guy." She says. "He really is, but now I have to go break Lando's heart." I tell her and she looks at me confused. "Lando kissed me again and when I told Charles he was really upset. He wants me to end my friendship with Lando because he can't trust him." I explain to her. She looks shocked. "That's hectic, I didn't take Charles for the jealous type. It's extreme for him to ask that of you." I try to process what she is saying, is he just jealous or dangerously jealous? I think to myself. Uhgg that's absolutely crazy, I shake the thoughts away.
"I really want to make this work, so I just hope he understands." I say. "Good luck, come find me if you need me." She says and gives me a hug. I hug her back and walk away, nervously making my way to Lando's room.

I stand infront of his door taking a deep breath. I knock. After a few moments he opens the door, looking shocked to see me. I give him a faint smile, "Hey Lan, can I come in for a sec?" I ask him.
"Uh, yeah sure." He says unsure. When I walk into the room I saw Magui sitting on the bed wearing a robe, with nothing underneath. I get angry but try to keep myself calm. Did he just use me or is he just using her? "Uhm, can you maybe give us the room, Mag?" He asks her and she smirks at me, as if she was rubbing it in my face. She nods grabbing her clothes and heading out, Lando locks the door behind her.

Lando's POV

I was laying in bed. I feel awful about what just happened between me and Magui. I just needed to blow off steam and she was the only one who was willing to help. We were busy talking about how this is really nothing serious and I explained to her that she should not get feelings for me, because my heart belongs to Jo. I could see she was irritated but she went along with it. Then there was a knock at the door. "Fuck" I say getting up and putting on sweat pants. I open the door and I am shocked to see Jo standing there. "Hey Lan, can I come in for a sec?" She asked and I mentally slap myself, this is the worst possible time. "Uh, yeah sure." I say unsure of how she will react when she sees Magui. She looks over to Magui who is smirking at her, I could really slap her right about now. "Uhm, can you maybe give us the room, Mag?" I ask her and she keeps looking at Jo, making me feel angry. She finally leaves and I can see Jo's cheeks burning red from anger.
"So you confess your love for me and sleep with another girl?!" She asks harshly. "What am I supposed to do? You made your choice pretty obvious." I tell her and she just stares at me in disbelief. "You are such a player Norris, only proving  that I made the right choice." She says and it felt like a knife in my heart. How can she think that low of me. "So why are you here then?" I ask her. Her face quickly softened which made me confused. She looks sad now. "This might be the last fight we have, Norris." She whispered softly, looking down. "What do you mean?" I ask really confused. She looks up at me and I can see the tears in her eyes. "I- uhm- We can't be friends anymore." She stutters and I just look at her, I was speechless. This is not at all what I was expecting from this conversation. "What do you mean?!" I ask her slightly yelling. "It's just better that way, Lan. I'm sorry." She says. "Better for you or better for Charles?" I ask her. She keeps quiet and I clearly have my answer, he is forcing her to end her friendship with me. "If you want to talk about players, Charles is the biggest one of them all. I know him. He is going to break your heart, Jo. I beg you, don't do this." I say taking her hand in mine. She shakes her head and removes her hand from mine. "Please don't make this any harder than it already is Norris. You will forever be my first love. I will cherish our memories, the good and bad. But for now this is it." She says and I don't have any words to respond. "I love you Jo." Is all I managed to choke out. She comes closer to hug me, crying. I hug her back.

"Farewell Norris." Is the last words out of her mouth before she ran out of the room, leaving me heartbroken.

I need to get out of here.
