it was a quiet monday in the café. i watched as a woman with brown, round glasses sipped her latte from time to time, focused on her laptop screen. she had long blonde hair that was curled and topped with a beautiful flower crown.
she wore a plain white shirt with denim blue skinny jeans.
"excuse me," her sweet voice gazed up at me. "can i have another one of these?" she pointed to her empty cup.
"o-oh yeah sure." i nodded, jogging over to her. "is that all?"
"no, can i ask something?" she smiled. "is there a reason why you are staring at me?"
my eyes widened, as i brought my hand to my curly black hair.
"you're a nice looking woman." i blushed.
"you're a nice looking woman too." she smirked. "but you don't see me staring. have you figured out who i am?" the woman sighed, taking her big glasses off.
"should i know who you are?" i asked confused.
"i'm lizzy grant. but millions of people know me as lana del rey."
"um, i've seen your name somewhere but i don't really know who you are personally." i said nervously. "sorry?"
"daisy! are you socializing with the customers?" dad called out, laughing.
rolling my eyes, i quickly put a smile on my face turning around.
"no dad, i'm helping her find something new to drink." i sighed.
"oh," he chuckled. "sorry to be rude miss." he nodded to lizzy or lana.
"no problem." she grinned.
"we normally only have you here on monday mornings. people mostly come around noon which is a surprise. i should give you a coupon or something for a thank you."
"bye." i mouthed to him.
"that would be great." lizzy chuckled.
he smirked, going into the door that led to where we made coffee.
"sorry about that. that's my weird dad." i chuckled, shaking my head.
"that's ok, i'm used to it with my father." she gazed at her laptop.
"you've been very interested in your laptop." i joked, grabbing her cup and going behind the counter. "i don't have to shut down the wifi in here do i?"
"no," she laughed. "i'm chatting with my boyfriend. he's on a business trip and it just so happens he's my manager."
"oh," i nodded. "what do you for a living?"
"i'm a singer," she replied proudly. "a very happy one in fact."
"sing me something." i smirked, going to the back to quickly fill up her cup.
"in your dreams." she giggled.
"got a new girlfriend?" my dad grinned.
"shut up!" i laughed, shaking my head. "just because i'm bisexual doesn't mean i like every pretty girl i see. plus she has a boyfriend."
"sure," he smirked, patting my shoulder.
i went back out to see lana packing her bag.
"you're leaving?" i pouted my lips.
"yeah, my boyfriend just got in town and we're meeting at my place."
"oh," i said slightly disappointed.
"don't worry, i'll be back tomorrow, daisy."
"how'd you know my name?" i gasped.
"one, your name tag and two your dad said your name earlier." she laughed loudly.
my face turned red in embarrassment as she came her hugging me.
"daisy, you're a pretty cool chick." she whispered in my ear, putting something in my hand.
i watched as she left, before unfolding the white paper in my hand.
it read:
