The group was walking through the forest that separated them from the mountain range. The monster-like lions ahead of them were relatively easy for s-classes.
"These small fries are so annoying!" Yerim complained as she carelessly wielded her spear. "Just how many are there?!"
Yoojin smiled like it was a usual occurrence.
"They just keep coming out of nowhere!"
They continued to walk, a long walk.
"Cale-nim." Choi Han started the conversation.
"Yes..?" Cale answered.
"Are you.. able to use your ancient powers here?" He whispered enough for Cale to hear.
"I haven't tried yet..."
ROAAARR!
The path ahead was blocked, there were new monsters ahead. The small fries had brought their leader and the rest of their clan to them themselves. The leader seemed to be on par with a new s-class.
"I'll take care of this, Yoojin!" Yerim charged at the lion leading the pack.
"Stay safe." Officer Taewon instructed Yoojin before he went on to assist the youngster.
Yoojin waved goodbye at them. "They should be able to take care of them on their own, right?" He turned around, looking at his brother for reassurance...
Swoosh
The sound of wind passing by in high speeds.
"..."
"Cale-nim!" Choi Han yelled out for him.
"..."
"I'll go find him." Hyunjae suggested as he left without hearing their answers.
"I'll go too." Choi Han gritted his teeth in frustration, frustration that Hyunjae was going to look for Cale, as he ran off as well.
"They should be fine.. right...?" Yoojin asked.
"I'm sure they're fine. Choi Han is stronger than he looks." Yoohyun said.
"Really?" Yoojin asked, curiously.
"Yes." Yoohyun nodded. "He should be at the level of a veteran s-class or higher."
"Eh??" Yoojin didn't expect that. 'I should check him out using the Promising Sprout (S) skill.' He thought to himself.
"Yoojin!" Yerim energetically walked back to the group with Taewon. Blood covering them all over, from all the fighting. "Huh? Where's the others?" She asked.
"Oh. Cale got snatched from one of lions, they ran off to catch him back." Yoojin explained to them.
"Eh? No wonder they all left suddenly." Yerim spoke innocently.
"Shouldn't we chase them as well? If the monsters retreated, they must be after the three now." Taewon said.
"They'll be fine, they have Hyunjae with them. Haven't you seen him fight? The lightning from his chains gives even an s-class chills!"
Taewon remained stoic. "Hyunjae isn't someone who'll save a person freely. We won't know if he'll actually save Cale or not. It's best we follow behind them."
"Ohh, that's right." Yerim agreed.
"I don't think so." Yoojin disagreed.
They all faced him.
Taewon spoke, "what do you mean?"
Yoojin shrugged.
