The wolf in the woods

When Alexis Son goes hiking in the neighboring forest, she finds a baby wolf that is injured. One day when she comes home from university, she finds a small 2-year-old boy on her bed. Coincidence? And does the wolf/boy have any connection with the strange uber hot boys next door?

Chapter one

Scribbling down the notes in my Advanced Arts class, I caught a sight of Mr. Fleeman's but crack. Now, not to be judgmental, but seeing a balding fat guy's but crack in the middle of a 42 degrees day is a little disturbing. And it dampens my mood, even though tomorrow is my favorite day of the year.

Every year, my best friend Danny and I go on a long hiking trip throughout the Western Barney Woods, and spend the whole day there. We've always been the adventurous type, but our continuous classes at uni and our nagging parents prevent us from doing such a great trip.

Of course, Danny and I go for a run every day, have our weekly gym session and our occasional two hour hike; but really, it's nothing compared to tomorrow's events.

"Pst," a Sturdy Nerdy (i.e. Collin Boyd, a nerd that could still be classified as cute) whispered from next to me. "Can I borrow a pen?"

I gave

Him a doubting look, wandering why in the hell he'd want a pen now (as we've been writing notes for over twenty minutes).

"Mine broke," he explained, gesturing to a pen surrounded by a puddle of ink on the corner of his table. How did he do that?

I passed him a pen from my bag, and turned back to the board. Seriously, Fleeman can write faster than a computer with a virus!

When classes finished, I waited outside the doors for Danny. Of course, she took ages seeing as how popular she is with the boys.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I wasn't exactly invisible with the male race (I have a boyfriend), but come on! The girl's gorgeous.

She has long black hair that shines even in dim light, and eyes that are almost as dark. She has a perfect thin figure, though her boobs aren't exactly small. She dresses fashionably, and almost every colour seams to complement her (except orange, because no one suits orange. Yucky colour!).

"Hello my dear Alexis," she grins at me with her thick English accent. Though, she was definitely speaking more formally than usual (most of the time she just says "What up, butt face?"

Very classy.

"A pleasure to see you again, Daniel." I attempted to match her posh tone, but I was defiantly failing.

"Yes, quite." we broke out into hysterics, making the sophisticated looking university students around give us wary looks. By the time we had stopped our chuckling, Danny has a tear in her eye and I have a cramp.

"Girls, it wasn't that funny,” our best guy friend, Jordan, stated in a serious voice as he joined us. Even though his tone was solemn, I could tell that he was trying to fight a smile.

"Jord, you know us; we find even a turtle funny," Danny said with her usual smile. Then, we looked at each other, and shouted out "Awkward turtle!" before breaking out into a fit of laughter again.

"I will never understand the female race," Jordan shook his head in amusement, chuckling slightly.

"You don't need to understand us, you're pretty much the same gender!" I protested with a giggle. He rolled his eyes at me.

"All because I'm gay, it doesn't mean that I'm a girl." Danny and I exchanged a glance, and at the same time yelled “Liar!” like there’s no tomorrow.

“Okay, you three, out!” Mr. Fleeman growled at us as he left the classroom’s entrance. He gave us an annoyed look, and we nodded and left the building. I was still chuckling lightly to myself, and from the corner of my eye I could see Danny cracking a smile.

“So…” Jordan trailed off, looking a little bored. “What are we doing tonight?”

“Well, it’s Friday night,” I started, thinking it out, “Movie night with Chinese?”

“Make it Thai and you’ve got a deal, missy” Danny winked at me. I rolled my eyes, but grinned at my two best friends.

* * *

Settling down to watch our movie marathon, Jordan was just placing Pirates Of The Caribbean into the DVD player. We had decided earlier that we were going to pull an all-nighter by watching as many pirate movies as we can. First person to fall asleep has dinner-duty tomorrow morning.

In case you haven’t guessed already, Danny, Jordan and I live together Kind of. We live in the same apartment building, side by side. And, like anything cliché, I was situated in the middle. Which I wouldn’t mind so much if it weren’t for both of their extensive male company.

Speaking of, Danny was on the phone with her latest boyfriend, Kieran, at the moment. I didn’t really want to know what they were ‘talking’ about, but she’s been locked in my bedroom for the last half hour.

I rearranged myself on the couch, finally relaxed. Little did I know that that was my last night of peace.

^^^^^^

To be honest, i think that this starting chapter sucks. But, i'm relatively new to the writing world.

Please give me some sort of helpful tips so i can improve :)
