"The unlucky subway kids are saying we should do karaoke," Jisung tells the cool kids.
After leaving the park, we split up into two groups—the cool kids, and the unlucky subway kids. The cool kids consist of those of us who get to drive in Chan's car: me, because the giant plushie needs somewhere to fit in, Jisung because he won the plushie, Hyunjin because it's his birthday, and Jeongin because he's the youngest and gets special treatment.
"Alright, let's reroute," Chan says, spinning the car around, "we're gonna get there before them anyways."
Fifteen minutes later, we arrive at our destination: the coin karaoke place that the group loves. They used to go very often, but not as much this year because it's the final year. For Yeona and I, it's our first time.
"They said they'll be here in ten minutes," Jisung informs.
I peek at Jisung's phone, and see a chain of text in what seems like a group chat called "1 dad and 7 homeless children". Group chat names must never be questioned.
"You have a group chat?" I ask.
"Yeah."
"Why are Yeona and I not in it?"
"Because there are some things we only talk amongst ourselves that we can't tell you."
"Like crushes," Jeongin adds, wiggling his eyebrows and earning a shove from Jisung.
I nod in understanding. That makes sense, Yeona and I couldn't reveal our conversations about crushes to them either, for obvious reasons.
"It's like...the eight of us are the original friend group, and you two are the extensions."
"Damn. Thanks for being honest."
"It's a great privilege to be an extension of Stray Kids, you know."
"Right..." I chuckle, remembering how last year, before Jisung invited us to sit at their table, all we could hear about that friend group was how they were so cool and handsome and everyone wanted to join them.
Ten minutes pass, and through the door walk Yeona, Minho, Changbin, Felix, and Seungmin.
"Let's get this party started!"

"Seungmin is really good at singing," I point out while the boy is singing his heart out to a melodious song called "every moment of you" at the karaoke booth.
"Yeah, he is," Jisung says, sitting outside with me. "Have you ever heard me sing?"
I think for a moment, trying to remember all of the songs the group practiced during their dance rehearsals. "I don't think so. You rap really well though."
"Thanks," Jisung smiles. "But I can sing too."
"A rapper who can also sing?"
"I can do it all." he boasts.
"Of course you can."
"You don't believe me?"
I don't answer, but I do believe him. Jisung is so talented in everything, and although I've never heard him sing and can't imagine what he sounds like, I don't doubt that he'd be a decent singer too.
"You should go, Yeona." Seungmin suggests, exiting the small room.
"Uaahhhh, no thanks." Yeona declines, "I'm very bad at singing."
"You are." Minho confirms. "And your voice is gonna come out hoarse from all that screaming three hours ago."
"Okay, you shut up. I may not be able to sing, but I can draw. I can play the violin. I can play badminton. I can rizz up pretty boys. What can you do, huh?"
