The Alpha's Best Friend

Chapter 15

~~~Alanna's pov~~~

I shake off how weird she's being and focus on the present. "So I'm assuming you can take the stitches out?"

She nodded. "Yup, let me go get my tools, I'll be right back" She said.

"Ok."

She leaves the "cage" as I'm calling it and locks it behind her so I go sit on the couch in the little living room area while I wait for her to get back.

To give you a better picture of where I'm staying, think about an apartment an open floor plan for all of the rooms except for the bathroom.

It looks weird, but it's pretty nice.

I check my phone and see if Carly is here.

A few minutes later there's a knock at the door and in walks Carly and the doctor.

"Hey girl" She said carrying a duffle bag with everything I asked her to get.

"Hey, come join me" I teased.

She looked around the room. "Don't worry it won't be too bad, this actually isn't half bad" She said.

"I know right? Kinda cute."

They come into the cage and the doctor puts everything on the kitchen table. "Ok, let's get those suckers out" She said.

I walk over to the kitchen area and sit down on the chair.

Carly sits down across from me with furrowed brows as the doctor takes out the stitches. "You're already healed?" She asked.

"Yeah, surprised me too, but I guess Ajax has super spit or something" I laughed.

Her eyebrows raise and eyes widen. "The alpha only licked your wound?" She asked.

"Yeah, Ajax licked it right after it happened. I guess doing it right away made the difference."

Carly looks at the doctor and her eyes glaze over meaning they're mind linking.

That's weird.

Once she's back to the present she smiles at me. "That's good he helped you heal" She said.

I furrow my eyebrows wondering what's going on, but I drop it for now, I have too much on my mind right now.

I feel the doctor take out the last stitch. "Ok all done" She said.

"Great, thank again."

"No problem Alanna. If you need anything let me know" She said.

I nodded. "Ok I will."

"Well I have to get back to work, but if you need anything else let me know" Carly said.

"I will."

They both say their goodbyes and leave the room.

When they leave, I make myself busy by putting my clothes in the dresser they have and putting my toiletries in the bathroom.

Once I'm done it plug my phone into the extension cord since it's about to die and turn on the TV to watch a movie.

As I'm watching the movie I hear a loud commotion upstairs and  I instantly smell Axel.

Took him long enough.

I knew as soon as he came back home from his  meeting and he smelt me he'd be here.

He barrels down the stairs and practically tears the door from it's hinges.
