I let out a sigh and shut the door behind me.

I slowly walk up the front steps and knock on the door.

Not something I've ever done here since we always just walk right in, but it feels like the right thing to do.

Footsteps near and Crystal opens the front door. "Axel, this is a nice surprise. What's going on honey?" She asked.

I swallow harshly. "Is Rob home? I need to talk to you both."

Her eyebrows furrow. "Is everything ok?" She asked.

I sigh. "I'm honestly not sure, but we're trying to get to the bottom of it."

Worry is coming off of her in waves as we walk through the front door to the living room where Rob is.

He stands up. "Hey Axel, what's up?" He asked.

"I have to tell you guys some news."

Crystal grabs onto Rob's arm. "Oh no, is it Alanna? Is she ok?" She asked frantically.

I take a deep breath and let it out. "A little while ago Alanna set out a message saying something was wrong and to get to the bookstore. When I got there she wasn't there and there was no smell of her which means black magic was involved. A few months ago we had a rogue that was involved with black magic that was near here, and I didn't want to let you guys know, but everything may be tied to what happened."

She gasps and puts her hand up to her mouth. "Oh god, my baby" She cried.

I lean my head down in shame. "I'm sorry guys. We're doing everything we can and I asked for Howard's security cam footage to see if we can find out who took her, because the security camera faces the back lot where Alana was taking. A guy named Peter who was a customer at the bookstore to karaoke we watched the footage and saw that he put her in the back seat of car and drive away, after this and I'm going to go back to packhouse and we're going to track the smells from the car to see if we can track them to find out where they went."

"I don't remember her mentioning a guy named Peter, but regardless if there's anything you need help with let me know" Rob said.

"Of course."

"Wait you said a witch that practices black magic?" Crystal asked.

"Yes. Gwen confirmed it, but couldn't find out who it was since she doesn't practice black magic since it was outlawed."

She takes a deep breath. "I hope I'm wrong, but there's a possibility her grandmother Helen found her. If she found her you have to make sure you get her back because she'll kill her, just like she tried to when Alanna was a baby" She worried.

"I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure nothing happens to Alanna. You have my word."

"Thank you honey we appreciate it. Please let us know if you need help or when you find her" Crystal said.

"I will. Ok I'm gonna yet going so we can get this search party started."

I give them hugs and head back to the house.

When I get to my office, it's crowded with my parents, the guys, some guards, and Gwen.

I grab the map and spread it out on my desk.

I grab a highlighter and  mark off where she could possibly be.

I draw a line from the road that leads out of the town. "Ok so there's only 2 ways they could've went, but we have a large expanse of woods here" I circle the woods all around that spans over 5 towns.
