théa is desperate for a better job than working at the 24/7 diner at bad hours, but she can't afford college so she'll take whatever she can get. part of her is determined to get her band to go on tour, but the rational part of her brain knows that it's just not in the cards for her, at least not at the moment.
so she's stuck working in the diner in highland park, los angeles, waiting to scrape together enough money for her life to finally begin.
billie eilish does not generally find herself in cheap 24/7 diners between the hours of 11pm and 5am, but desperate times call for desperate measures. she's being followed, and the last place she'd be expected to go is a budget diner in highland park. so naturally, that is exactly where she decides to go.
theà does not expect to find and a-list celebrity in her workplace, much less billie eilish, but she assumes that it's nothing. she must just be going through a tough time like most people who show up to diners this late.
but when billie's visits become more regular and at the most random times of the day (mainly ranging from 11pm to 6am), théa becomes suspicious of why exactly the singer has chosen this admittedly terrible diner to make regular visits to.
but there's more to the story than theà ever would've guessed, and billie isn't safe.
