The Bonds Of Fate

Chapter one

It was Harry's 5th birthday party when his life changed, whether it was a good change or a bad change is still up for debate. 

Harry woke up excitedly knowing what day it was, his second-most favorite day of the year. His birthday was today and he could feel that today would be the best one yet. He jumps out of bed to wake his fathers up with a bright smile. "Daddy! Papa! Wake up!" Harry says while jumping onto the bed to wake them. Sirius groans and looks at his husband "Moony at this moment he is your son, deal with him." Remus sits up to look at his son and smiles. "come here pup, let's go get some breakfast and let daddy sleep some more okay?" Harry nods enthusiastically and Remus kisses Sirius on the forehead and leads Harry downstairs.

As they go down the stairs Harry is buzzing with excitement, getting to the end faster than his papa. "papa hurry I'm hungry!" Harry says with a whine, Remus just looks at him looks at him fondly. "I am almost there don't worry." Remus looks at Harry and chuckles at his son's pout for him not speeding up.

As Remus is cooking breakfast Harry is babbling on and on about his party later in the day. "papa do you think lots of friends are going to come?" Harry asks his papa after going silent for a minute. "There will be plenty of friends that will show up, some of which you haven't met yet. Isn't that exciting?" Harry thinks for a moment and decides that what his papa just said is the best thing ever. "No way!" As Remus plates the food for them he just chuckles and nods his head to Harry. "Harry, can you go wake up Daddy while I make him some coffee?" Harry looks at him and nods so hard one might think his neck might snap. 

As Harry is running up the stairs he is yelling for his daddy to wake up for his birthday breakfast. When Harry storms the room he finds Sirius asleep and decides to climb onto the bed to wake his daddy up with an attack of kisses all over his face. Sirius is awoken by that and starts to laugh and snatches Harry and flips them so he can attack with tickles. "Daddy stop it tickles too much!" Harry lets out a shriek of laughter and Sirius ends the attack. "Happy birthday pup, did you help Papa make breakfast?" Sirius knows by definition of help he means yapped the whole time. "Yep, I sure did so you better love it." Harry puffs out his chest with confidence. "I'm sure I will, now let's head back downstairs so Papa doesn't go all angry Papa wolf on us." 

They make their way downstairs and into the kitchen and Remus greets his husband with a kiss on the cheek and a coffee in his hand. "Oh, moony this is why I love you so much, you always know how I like my coffee." Remus hums and sits down to eat and tells Harry to make sure he eats it all so he can have lots of energy for his party later. 

After breakfast is done they start to make preparations for the party, Remus is in charge of the food and Sirius is the decorations. Harry decided he wanted a dragon-themed party since they were his favorite creatures. Remus was going to make his cake in the shape of his favorite Dragon, the Hebridean Black. Its color was purple and was very pretty which was why he liked it so much, this part was a surprise so Sirius had to have Harry help him so he wouldn't see the cake before it was time. 

After about two hours all the preparations have been made Remus decides it is a good idea for them all to get washed up and sends Sirius to the bedroom so he can go first since he takes longer, claiming it takes work to look this good. while Sirius showers Remus takes Harry to the bathroom to start the bath, filling it up with his toys and bubbles, and goes to fetch the outfit Harry had picked out the night before. after the tub was full and the water was warm he put Harry in and started to wash him.  After finishing with Harry's bath he tells him to play in his room while he takes a shower and gets ready, promising that when done the party will start.
