6. Special Day

(I'm on vacation rn so I will probably not be able to write that much! I'll update you guys tho!)

I woke up and decided to kind of redecorate the house a little bit. First I wanted to replaced the old flowers with new colorful ones so I went to the flower shop near a village in front of Rengoku's estate.

You reached it if you went over a hill. It was a peaceful day and I just enjoyed walking in the nature. For one moment I forgot everything that was stressing me out like the fact that my birthday was tomorrow and I haven't told anyone except Rengoku who already knew but he wasn't here now. I was happy hearing the bird sounds and breathing in the fresh air.
When going to the village I passed multiple villagers which went hiking or brought the hashiras new training swords.
I finally arrived at the village and now searched for the small flower shop. As I walked down the streets I saw a hashira standing at a flower shop which I also looked for. I recognized her as Shinobu and walked next to her. I greeted her and she looked at me with a huge smile. "Hey Y/N, what are you doing here? Do you also want to buy flowers?" she asked me and pointed at the beautiful flowers in the shop. "Oh yes I do! Rengoku is gone for a while now and I wanted to redecorate his estate to surprise him a little bit." I replied rubbing my back. Should I ask her if she wanted to visit me tomorrow? I really liked her since she's a very nice women and one of two hashiras who are female. Unfortunately I couldn't ask her since she already said goodbye." That sounds good. He will like it for sure...Well I have to go now. They don't have my flowers right now and I still have some work to do. See you! I wish you a great day" she said and walked off. Damn it. I missed my chance. As I continued my day and looked for the flowers I wanted a person tapped on my shoulder. "Hey, I see you're looking at the flowers here. Would you like to look at my own flower field? They are cheeper than these ones!" a little girl said to me. I looked down at her with a smirk. The flowers of this shop are high quality and it's labeled as one of the best flower shops but I just agreed to her since she's still little and I wanted to be nice."Oh hey little girl. Yes sure. I might buy some since I really need them!" I said and she took my hand. Walking off the streets and on a small path we reached a house in the middle of a field. There were no flowers tho. I was confused and paused for a moment." What's the matter? We are right here. Just right behind the house " the girl said still holding my hand. "Hm alright" I said and the girl showed me the direction.

She didn't lie. When walking behind the house I saw a breathtaking flower field. Pink tulips, red roses, blue hibiscus and more were shining in the sun. "Oh these flowers are so beautiful! Do you mind if I look closely?" I asked respectfully and she nodded. As I reached a rose I smelled the scent she had. It smelled so nice and fresh. I'll definitely get some of those... I decided to buy 3 blue hibiscus flowers and 4 roses."How much are 3 hibiscus and 4 roses?" I asked and turned back to her. "Hmmmm.." she thought for a moment. She didn't have prices? "It would be 5.138,74 Yen." she added and began to carefully remove the flowers from the earth. I handed her the money and she gave me the flowers in return. "Thank you so much. These flowers really are special. I will return!" I said and waved back at her and walked down the path.

When going back on the street I walked pass some other shops and decided to guy myself some dinner because it was getting late. I'd eat it when I'm back home. I was now completely packed with flowers and food. As I continued my way back I bumped into someone. "Hey watch where you're going!" the person yelled. I looked up to the person and froze for a moment. "Omg I'm so sorry Y/N. I didn't mean to shout at you! I thought you were a stranger" he said shocked and embarrassed. It was Genya. "Oh yea it's okay. No worries. I was just heading back home. What are you doing here?" I asked him and he looked down at me with pink cheeks. "Hm.. I was just exploring the village I guess." he muffled and looked away again. This was my chance to ask him if he would want to visit me tomorrow since I had no one else to ask. "Hey Genya... Would you like to visit me tomorrow? It's my birthday and I don't want to be alone since my trainer isn't back yet." I said embarrassed. Why did I say it like that? "Oh.. Uh me?" Genya looked surprised. "Yea sure... I don't have any plans tomorrow. I guess that would work..." he said with a red face. "Oh that would be really nice. Thank you!" I said smiling at him and he looked away fast. "Should I help you...?" he asked shyly looking at the stuff you were carrying. He offered me to carry my stuff? I was surprised but I accepted it. "Yes please. It's so heavy. Thank God you're here right now. You're such a sweetie.." I said and saw genya blush at your words. He took 5 of my flowers and carried them till to the estate. As we arrived it was already late and the sun began to go down and the moon showed up. I thanked him and he said goodbye. He muffled things when turning his back at me and walking off. I found it cute and just jiggled at those sounds. He's a nice guy and very shy but he has manners!

I sat in the garden, the new flowers filling the air with their sweet scent and I unpacked my meal. It was delicious and I enjoyed the moment.
After I ate dinner I just held in.

Y/N sat on the porch, feeling the cool night air blowing gently through the trees. The stars twinkled in the sky and the moon cast a soft light on the garden. It was quiet, except for the occasional chirping of crickets. Lost in thought, Y/N wondered where Rengoku could be. The last few weeks had been lonely, and the longing for his company grew with each passing day. The uncertainty was gnawing at her and although she wanted to stay strong, she felt particularly vulnerable today. Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Rengoku emerging from the darkness. His face looked tired, but when he saw Y/N, a smile crossed his lips. "Rengoku!" Y/N shouted happily and jumped up. He stepped closer and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry I was gone for so long. There was a lot to do." Y/N nodded, trying to hold back the tears. "I missed you." Rengoku looked at her lovingly. "Same to you. But you held on well. I'm proud of you." They sat together on the porch and spent the next few hours sharing stories and making plans for the future. Y/N felt the weight of the last few weeks lift off her. With Rengoku by her side, anything seemed possible.
