4 Female Monarch

Chapter 16 ( Meeting Karlyle)

          Once again Karlyle failed to fulfil his promise to return home. Although Ryan said he don't mind at all but he still felt worry in case something might happen to Karlyle. With that in mind, Ryan decided to make a trip to Karlyle's division.

''Husband...'' Called Damian.

''Yes?'' Ryan stop his movement when he heard Damian call him. Right now they are in Ryan's lab. Originally it was Karlyle who was supposed to participate in the lab test but somehow Damian offer himself seeing Karlyle being overloaded with his work.

''Are you sure you want to go there?''

''Of course. Why?''

''It dangerous to go there alone. How about I accompany you?''

''Ian, it's okay. I know you are busy. How can you leave your work alone. Beside, I didn't go alone. I will go with medical team. It's gonna be fine.'' Ryan reassures Damian as he monitoring Damian's condition after Damian swallow the pill.

''Then, how about I inform Karl? He can pick you up when you arrived.'' Damian suggested.

''No need. If he know, he might force himself to come home right this instance. You should know him better.''

''May I know why?'' Damian curious why Ryan suddenly want to see Karlyle. It was a common for female military to rarely go home especially when there is a difficult mission.

''My reason to go visiting Lyle?''

''Yes.''

''Because I am worried.''

''Just that?'' Damian simply couldn't believe that.

''Hm, just that.'' Ryan chuckled. He know Karlyle could take care of himself better. But for his selfish reason, he need to see Karlyle with his own eyes to make sure that he was doing okay. He don't want to repeat his mistake once again.

''Enough with that. How are you feeling now? Is there any discomfort?''

''I am feeling well.''

''Good. That's all for now. If you are not feeling well later, you need to tell me right away okay?''

''Will do.'' Ryan rub Damian's hair softly hearing his answer.

          Medical team's aircraft already take off awhile ago.  Damian follow to send Ryan off although Ryan said he didn't have to. It draw attention from zerg around them seeing Damian besides Ryan while waiting to load their stuff into the aircraft. Before parting, Damian suddenly pull Ryan's body into a hug. If it was him before this, he would never dare to even think about doing this kind of action but right now as he see Ryan's figure slowly leaving him, his hand move on its own.

''Take care, husband.'' Whisper Damian as tighten the embrace.

          Ryan froze in Damian's arm for a couple of second but hearing Damian's word woke him up. He hugged Damian back with his hand being placed in Damian's waist. Since Damian was taller than him, he need to raise his lip a little to whisper into Damian's ear. Their scene was seen by the medical staff on the spaceship. While those two was just whispering to each other, somehow in their eyes, they see the two of them kissing each other. They have a harmony relationship, they thought.

''Hmm. You too. Don't forget to eat.''

They soon let go of each other embrace. Before Ryan enter the aircraft, Damian call him once again.

"Husband."

"Hmm?"

"Please be patient with Karlyle when you met him later. He might be a bit stubborn."

"Don't worry. I'll try my best to be gentle with him.". Ryan then wave to Damian.

          After almost a week traveling, the aircraft soon landing on planet X where Karlyle division at. Somehow Ryan felt nervous. He apply to join Medical Team in a very last minute. When Damian told him that Karlyle couldn't make it this month to go home, he instinct instantly didn't feel good about it. He need to check Karlyle by himself.

"Welcome to our South Division. It was our pleasure for having all of you here. Later there will someone who will guide you to the Medical room. For now I will bring you to your room to rest. Do you have any question?" Ask the female soldier while scanning all the face in front of him. He then stop at one zerg. Somehow that zerg seem familiar to him but he couldn't process who is it. After awhile he can remember who exactly this male zerg is. It was the male of Major General Karlyle!

"Your Excellency Ryan?"

"Hm? Ah, yes it's me."  Ryan that was busy looking at his document shock when hearing his name being called.

"You came at the right time, Your Excellency! Please follow me. I will bring you to Major General Karlyle. Sir Noah please bring the other to their room." Ryan didn't quite understand why this female soldier are excited to see him but since he did mention about Karlyle, he will gladly follow him.

"Your Excellency, you didn't know how glad I was to see you here."

"May I know why? Did something happen to Karlyle?"

"Ah that... How to say? At first Major General Karlyle was just doing fine even though he need to joint the mission countless time. But since last month his condition start to become worse. I can't say much about the mission but after he came back last month, his pheromones became unstable. I did ask him to return home since he already has a male to soothe him but he refuse to do so. Right now his condition became on off. He also has been abusing the inhibitor. He warned me to keep my mouth shut but how could I when I saw you here? I rather he kill me than seeing him lose his mind. Please Your Excellency Ryan, help our Major General. " 

         Listening to it makes Ryan frown. No wonder Karlyle avoid coming home this few months. Since he is male, he could detect it right away if Karlyle was near him since his pheromone was unstable. What to do, this female monarch of him was quite stubborn. He already remind him not to use inhibitor unless it was necessary. Those mission must exhaust him if he being lika that.

''Where is he now? He couldn't possibly working now right?'' 

''That... Training ground, Your Excellency.'' 

''.... I see.''  The female soldier could only awkwardly smile. His Major General are indeed stubborn.

          They soon arrived infront of training door that happen to be open. There was this sweet smell Ryan could smell even if it was faint. Following the smell, Ryan soon could spot Karlyle location. If you look normally, there was nothing wrong with Karlyle movement while training but in sense of smell, Karlyle definietly did not fit to joint any mission. His smell could attract some of the creature in the wild. The kind of creatures that desires female who is in heat.

''Your Excellency Ryan? Do you want me to call Major General Karlyle?''

''No need. I will wait here. You may resume your work.''

''I see. I will excuse myself then.'' 

          Ryan decide to just stand there until Karlyle notice him while ignoring all eyes on him. Since he was the only male there, many female zerg are curious about him. Despite the females zerg start to noticing Ryan, Karlyle are the only one unware of Ryan presence. And just like that, three hours has passed. Ryan still in his standing position. You may wonder does no one try to inform Karlyle? They indeed try but Ryan point his finger to his lips as a sign not to bother Karlyle. Since they know Ryan is not a stranger, they happily follow Ryan order. The training finally end, all female soldier before leaving silently bow to Ryan. Soon there was only two of them behind. Ryan still in his early position, examining Karlyle's movement. He could see Karlyle slowly kneeling on one knee, shaking. His pheromone start going a little bit stronger than before. Ryan then walks in Karlyle direction. He stop a few steps behind him.

''Lyle.''  Ryan could see Karlyle's back flinch when he call him.

''There is no use hiding your pheromone right now, Major General Karlyle Xavier. Turn around.'' Demand Ryan seeing Karlyle have no intention to turn facing him.

''... Husband.''
