Hello, my name is Maria Evans. I am the average, smart, blonde, shy, but beautiful girl, who always stands in the background, that you will barely notice.
Of course I'm not totally unnoticed by everyone. There are the jealous populars who love to bully me and the jocks who cheer them on, but other than that, I'm not really noticed. That day was no different for me.
I woke up, got ready for school and went to school. I avoided everyone's eyes and tried to just blend in to the background. That's just how everyday life works for me.
Who knew that it could change so fast?
Well I guess I should start explaining what happened that day.
I got to my first class of the day and I sat close to the back corner of the room, trying to avoid the bigger groups, since I had no friends in most of my classes.
I had all 'A' s in my classes, so school was never hard for me. My first class was creative writing, which I love writing so I enjoyed most of it. My next class was always better though. I actually had friends in that class, even if it was a math class.
When, I walked into class, my friends, Joann and Alex, were there waiting for me at our usual group of desks.
Joann, is half an inch shorter than me, and I'm 5'8", so she's pretty tall. She has brown hair and green eyes. I am actually surprised that Joann isn't popular, because she is so nice and she seems to get along with everyone, it's just her personality. But she is very artistic and loves soccer.
Alex, is a couple inches shorter than Joann and I, making her the shortest in the group, but we love her all the same. She has darker brown hair than Joann, and brown eyes. She wears glasses and usually a zip up hoodie. She is the sweetest and surprisingly the most violent of my friends. She too is good at art and loves her music and internet. We usually pass notes in class because our math teacher gets super mad if we talk during class. This day in particular, most of the notes were towards me, which was quite surprising. Joann gave me the first note, it was about my crush Derek.
Derek was quite the ladies man, but he would never go out with a nobody like me. Almost every girl in my school had a crush on him, lower grades and upper grades included. He had blonde hair and deep blue eyes, the kind you can get lost in. He was on the basketball, soccer, tennis, and golf team. He certainly got a ton of attention. It never really mattered if he broke up with a really popular girl or not, his rank remained the same and so did the number of his fans.
Apparently he was back from his soccer tournament, which his team won, but Joann was warning me that he would be back for the last hour that me and him share. Alex was writing that he was surrounded by the girls today, especially the ones that bully me, so I should be careful what I say and when I blush around him.
After we finished math, me and Joann had gym and then after we had chemistry with Alex, but it was the last class we had together.
Every teacher knew to trust me so I could plug in my headphones when ever I wanted. The rest of the day went by like a blur until my final hour that I shared with Derek, Government.
When I walked into the classroom with my headphones in, I was quite surprised by the scene. Someone was sitting on top of my desk, almost like they were waiting for me, I couldn't tell who he was, until he turned around........
.....It was DEREK!!!!???
This is my first story, so I apologize if its bad. If anyone actually reads this I will be quite surprised and I may continue to write more.
