10 Years.
10 fucking years.
Wow. I am at an absolute awe of how much this fanfic; this story that I wrote a decade ago has changed my life as a writer, as a fan, and as a person. When I first made my Wattpad account back in 2014, I did it as an idyllic, teenaged 5SOS fangirl who just wanted to escape into a new world with her favorite band. Little did I know, would I actually write, publish and then amass MILLIONS of readers.
Crazy!
Since publishing "Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts" on this day in 2014, I graduated high school and college; I entered the real world, and began a journey into adulthood. I moved out of my parent's home, got drunk for the first time -- and yeah, sometimes drunk words ARE sober thoughts LOL. I had my first heartbreak, got my first big girl job, lost friends, made new ones, and went to a bunch of 5SOS shows. So much has changed in the last 10 years, but one thing that stayed consistent was... this.
Wattpad.
Every new phone, I downloaded the app. I signed in, looked at a few notifications, then returned to reality. Always in my back pocket, but never forgotten, is Wattpad, and the sweet memories I had fueling me through adulthood 💛
So to all the readers who chose to dive into this story 10 years ago; to the re-readers who have jumped back in, and the new ones who pick up this decade-old fanfic: THANK YOU. You mean the world to me, in ways you may not understand. I love you. Truly.

P.S. Over the course of the last 10 years, I have continued to write -- including some Luke stories that I never got to finish. My goal was to always publish another Luke story, but life was lifeing LOL. Maybe I'll publish an anthology on Wattpad of my unfinished works. We'll see :)
