Whenever my eyes had fully opened again sure as hell Scott had kept his promise and didn't leave me as I awoke to him face down in the pillow, snoring loudly, and drooling everywhere. Sexy as fuck, right? I didn't want to wake him as I'm sure he had to be exhausted after dealing with me all night so I carefully crept out of bed from beside him and headed downstairs to see if Aristos was up. When I reached the bottom step I instantly noticed him situated at the table, his head resting in his hands. "Ari? Are you alright?" He head snaps up immediately, a drained look on his face. "Huh? Oh, damn, my bad yo, yeah I'm fine. How about you? Fuckin scared me to death bro, thought you were dying and shit."
I laugh nervously, taking the empty spot beside him. "Uh yeah, it was a long night, but I'm alright. I think poor Scott is over it though, he's passed out. Maybe I might try to go home and see if things have calmed down." He tries to stifle a yawn, stretching his arms out. "If you think it's a good idea, but I'd wait til he's up, try to talk to him. Not that it's anyone's business, but you just do what you feel is good for you, feel me?" I smile, shaking my head. "Yeah I get it. I just don't wanna impose on you both more than I have already." He chuckles now, his lips twitching into a smirk. "Nah trust, you wouldn't be in Scrim's bed two nights in a row if you were imposing on shit'." He pops out his pack of cigarettes from his pocket before getting up from his spot. "Wanna go outside an get some fresh air?" I bite down on my lip a bit hesitant as I didn't want Scott to think any type of way but decide to tag along anyway.
We sat on the back porch, mostly in silence until someone cleared their throat from behind us, making me flinch slightly. "See y'all got a early start without me." I look up, seeing Scott standing there shirtless and in grey sweatpants. Lord have fuckin mercy on my soul for the thoughts I seriously was having. "Nah, just didn't wanna wake you up. After all that shit I figured you could use your sleep." He sits next to me now, his eyes still bloodshot and lowered. He took the almost finished cigarette from Aristos , finishing it down to the filter before saying a word. "Yeah you definitely right about that one. Fuck girl, I'm surprised you're even still standing for real." I let out a slight yawn, shrugging my shoulders. "Trust me, it ain't my first rodeo having a panic attack. But thank you for helping me through it, for real. I appreciate it a lot Scott."
Almost on cue does Ari get up from the spot he was occupying the minute he listens in, mumbling something about having to go call someone, leaving Scott and I alone on the steps. "You don't have to thank me for anything, I just know you needed someone. We both were hella fucked up but I still remember what I said to you, too. I'on know what the hell I'm gonna do with you girl, for real, but I want to get to know you, on a deeper level. If I don't then who knows what might happen. You got your demons and I got mine, but I ain't afraid to show them if you ain't afraid to meet them. I'll show you who I really am, you've only gotten a small taste."
I smiled up at him, this time finding myself being cuddled into his side now as he slung his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. His warm skin felt like heaven on mine, making me feel like I could literally melt right then and there into a puddle on the ground. "I'm not afraid to show you anything. If you really want this, then I'm all in. I really want to see what Scott Arceneaux is all about anyway, I heard he's a real demon in disguise." He laughs, his hand closing in around mine which makes a heavy blush stain my cheeks. "Shit, just wait til you fuckin' see me in action shorty. I don't think you gunna be able to handle all dis."
