"SO why aren't you down there your royal highness?" carlos asks smirking as he speaks.
raina rolls her eyes and smiles, "i told ben that if he made me do it again that i would never talk to him again. and he listened this time," she replies, laughing. the vk's laugh as they walk down the stairs to the courtyard. ben and the majority of the royal kids are preforming their version of be our guest, a performance they've been putting on since they could talk, a performance that in reality raina threatened ben's life if he made her do it this year for the sake of her embarrassment of the past years would be even more on display with her new friends, and carlos.
raina takes dude from carlos' chest to let him try the chocolate fondue as she looks for her parents. she finds her mom and walks up to her, "hi mom," she says.
rapunzel turns around, "hi honey," she says embracing her daughter. raina hugs her mom back, holding dude in one arm. "how have you been? are there any boys?" she asks.
raina laughs. "i've been really good actually. and uhm, i don't know. maybe? i think i like him but i don't know. he's the white haired boy covered in chocolate over there," raina says pointing. carlos notices and waves to the two blondes. raina giggles and waves back.
rapunzel looks at the wonder struck girl and smiles, "oh you so like him honey. did i ever tell you how i knew your father was the one?" she asks. raina shakes her head no, "it was his willingness to help me accomplish my dream. if that boy does that for you, then you know to at least give him a chance," she says.
raina smiles, "thank you mom," she says, hugging her once again.
"RAINA! WERE PLAYING CROQUET! YOU IN?" ben asks from the other side of the court yard. raina nods and turns back to her mom.
"i have to go. i'm so sorry. i'll see you later?" she asks.
rapunzel nods, "of course sweetie. and please let me meet this boy?" she asks. raina nods and giggles as she runs up to carlos and the two walk side by side in the back of the line on their way to play.
"carlos, have you ever played croquet?" raina asks. carlos shakes his head in response. "do you want me to teach you?"
carlos tilts his head, thinking for a second, "sure, yeah," he says smiling softly.
"so you hold it like this," she says holding her mullet in the way her grandmother taught her. carlos holds it off so she wraps her arms around him and fixes his form. "yeah like that," she says, "and then you hit this ball, yeah! you're a natural," she speaks, smiling up at him.
