Marriage in Temple
In a small, beautifully adorned temple, Prachi and Ranbir stood before the sacred fire, their hands joined in matrimony. The priest chanted the holy mantras, blessing their union. Prachi looked radiant in her simple yet elegant bridal attire, while Ranbir couldn't take his eyes off her.
Priest: "With this fire as witness, may your marriage be blessed with happiness and love. Exchange your vows now."
Ranbir looked into Prachi's eyes, his voice filled with emotion. "Prachi, I promise to love and protect you for the rest of my life. No matter what challenges come our way, I will always stand by your side."
Prachi, her eyes brimming with tears of joy, replied, "Ranbir, I promise to support you, respect you, and love you with all my heart. Together, we can overcome anything."
Confrontation at the Kohli Mansion
Returning to the Kohli mansion as husband and wife, Prachi and Ranbir were met with a tense atmosphere. Pallavi stood in the center of the living room, her face twisted with anger, while Vikram and Dida looked on with worry. Aryan and Shahana were also present, their faces reflecting shock and concern.
Pallavi: "What is this nonsense, Ranbir? How could you marry Prachi without our approval? You've ruined everything!"
Ranbir, his voice steady but filled with defiance, responded, "I married Prachi because I love her, Mom. Nothing else matters."
Abhi and Pragya, who had arrived with Riya, stepped forward. Riya, her face a mask of rage and betrayal, spoke first.
Riya: "Prachi, how could you do this to me? You've stolen Ranbir from me!"
Prachi, her voice shaking with emotion, replied, "Riya, I didn't steal Ranbir. We love each other. This is not about you."
Abhi's voice boomed with authority. "Prachi, you've brought disgrace to our family. You've torn us apart."
Pragya, her eyes filled with tears, added, "How could you betray your own sister like this, Prachi?"
Prachi, holding back her own tears, tried to speak. "Ma, Papa, I never wanted to hurt anyone. Ranbir and I love each other."
Ranbir, his protective instincts kicking in, stepped forward. "Enough! Prachi and I are married now. If you can't accept that, then we have no place here."
Vikram, trying to mediate, spoke up. "Ranbir, you didn't even give us a chance to understand. You should have talked to us."
Ranbir, his voice firm, responded, "I tried, Dad. But no one listened. No one wanted to hear what we had to say."
Dida, her voice soft and pleading, added, "Beta, we just want what's best for you."
Ranbir, his eyes filled with determination, replied, "What's best for me is Prachi. And if you can't see that, then I don't belong here."
Pallavi, her pride wounded, spat out, "If you walk out of this house now, don't ever think of coming back."
Ranbir's eyes hardened with resolve. "Then so be it."
With that, Ranbir took Prachi's hand and walked towards the door. As they reached the threshold, Aryan called out.
Aryan: "Bhai, please don't go like this. We're family."
Ranbir paused, turning to face his brother. "Aryan, family supports and understands. They don't tear each other apart. If you truly care about me, you'll understand why I have to do this."
