ship: katsuki bakugo + eijiro kirishima.

The dormitory was unusually quiet, a rare occurrence in the bustling life of Class 1-A. Katsuki Bakugo, known for his explosive personality and fierce independence, sat alone in the common room, nursing a sprained wrist from a particularly intense training session. His scowl was deeper than usual, a mix of pain and frustration etched across his features.

Eijiro Kirishima, always attentive to his friend's well-being, entered the room and immediately noticed Bakugo's discomfort. Without hesitation, he walked over and sat beside him. "Hey, Bakugo. How's the wrist?"

Bakugo's glare was sharp, but he didn't move away. "It's fine," he snapped. "Just a sprain."

Kirishima frowned, not convinced by Bakugo's tough exterior. "You should take it easy, man. Overworking it will only make it worse."

"I said it's fine, Shitty Hair," Bakugo growled, his voice low and dangerous. "I don't need your pity."

"It's not pity," Kirishima said softly, his voice steady. "I care about you."

The words hung in the air between them, charged with an intensity that made Bakugo's scowl falter for a moment. He looked away, clenching his good fist. "I don't need anyone to care about me. I can handle myself."

Kirishima's expression was gentle but determined. "I know you can. But that doesn't mean you have to do everything alone. We're friends, Bakugo. Friends look out for each other."

Bakugo's jaw tightened, and he seemed to struggle with his words. "I don't know how to deal with this... with people caring about me."

Kirishima leaned closer, his eyes sincere. "It's okay, man. You don't have to know everything right away. Just... let us in a bit. Let me in."

Bakugo remained silent, his gaze fixed on a spot on the floor. Kirishima waited patiently, understanding that pushing too hard would only make Bakugo retreat further. After what felt like an eternity, Bakugo finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I don't want to be weak."

"You're not weak," Kirishima said firmly. "You're one of the strongest people I know. But even the strongest heroes need support sometimes, just like All Might. It doesn't make you weak to let someone help you. It makes you stronger."

Bakugo glanced at him, scepticism etched into his features. "You really believe that?"

"I do," Kirishima nodded. "But, I also believe in you. You're not alone, Bakugo. Not anymore."

Bakugo took a deep breath, the tension in his shoulders easing just a bit. He still didn't fully understand why Kirishima cared so much, but maybe he didn't need to understand it right now. Maybe it was enough to just accept it, even if it was uncomfortable.

"Fine," Bakugo muttered. "But don't go around making a big deal out of this."

Kirishima smiled warmly, his eyes softening as he reached out and gently took Bakugo's uninjured hand. "I won't. But I'm glad you're letting me in, even if it's just a little."

Bakugo's heart skipped a beat at the contact. He looked at their joined hands, a strange but not entirely unwelcome feeling blooming in his chest. "Whatever, Shitty Hair."

Kirishima laughed softly, a sound that made Bakugo's lips twitch into something that almost resembled a smile. "You know, I've always admired your strength, Bakugo. But it's not just your physical strength. It's your determination, your drive. You inspire me."

Bakugo felt a warmth spread through him, and for once, he didn't fight it. He looked up, meeting Kirishima's eyes. "You're not so bad yourself, Eijiro."

Kirishima's eyes widened slightly at the use of his first name, a sign of the deepening bond between them. He squeezed Bakugo's hand gently. "Thanks, Katsuki."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, the unspoken understanding between them growing stronger. Bakugo still had a long way to go in learning to accept help and care from others, but with Kirishima by his side, he felt like it was possible.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the common room, Kirishima leaned in closer, his voice barely more than a whisper. "I really do care about you, Katsuki. More than just as a friend."

Bakugo's breath caught in his throat, his heart pounding. He looked into Kirishima's eyes, seeing the depth of his feelings reflected there. Slowly, he nodded, a small but genuine smile breaking through his usual scowl. "I... I care about you too, Eijiro."

Kirishima's smile was radiant, and in that moment, Bakugo felt a sense of peace and acceptance he had never known before. They leaned in, their foreheads touching, a silent promise passing between them.

In the quiet of the evening, surrounded by the warmth of their growing affection, Bakugo and Kirishima found a new strength in each other. And for the first time, Bakugo welcomed the care and love he had always pushed away, knowing that with Kirishima, he was truly never alone.
