ship: hitoshi shinso + neito monoma - aged up.
Snow fell softly outside, blanketing the city in a peaceful white. Inside a cosy apartment, Hitoshi Shinso and Neito Monoma were preparing for the holiday season. The scent of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air, mixing with the piney aroma of the Christmas tree they had set up earlier that day. Shinso was untangling a string of lights, while Monoma busily unpacked ornaments from a box.
"Do you think we should put the lights on the tree first or hang the garland?" Monoma asked, his tone thoughtful as he held up a delicate glass ornament shaped like a star.
Shinso looked up from the tangled mess in his hands and smirked. "Let's go with the lights first. It's easier that way."
Monoma nodded, admiring Shinso's practicality. "Good idea. Here, let me help you with that."
Together, they worked to untangle the lights, their fingers brushing occasionally. Each touch sent a warm spark through Shinso, a reminder of how much he cherished these simple moments with Monoma. Once the lights were untangled, they began wrapping them around the tree, starting from the bottom and working their way up.
As they worked, Shinso glanced over at Monoma, who was humming a Christmas tune softly to himself. The way Monoma's face lit up with joy and concentration made Shinso's heart swell with affection. He reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind Monoma's ear.
"You look cute when you're focused," Shinso murmured, a small smile playing on his lips.
Monoma blushed, his usual confident demeanor giving way to a shy smile. "Thanks, baby. You're pretty cute yourself, you know."
Shinso chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I'm glad you think so."
They finished stringing the lights and stepped back to admire their work. The tree glowed warmly, filling the room with a soft, festive light. Monoma sighed contentedly and leaned against Shinso, who wrapped an arm around his waist.
"Let's start with the ornaments," Monoma suggested, reaching for the box. "I found some really nice ones this year."
Shinso nodded, his gaze affectionate as he watched Monoma carefully select an ornament and hang it on the tree. Each ornament held a memory, a story from their time together. There was the small wooden soldier from their first Christmas, the glittering snowflake they had bought during their trip to the mountains, and the glass heart they had found at a little shop, symbolising their love.
They took turns hanging the ornaments, sharing laughter and memories as they decorated. Monoma picked up the glass star he had admired earlier and handed it to Shinso.
"Here, Hitoshi. You should put the star on top."
Shinso took the star, his fingers brushing against Monoma's. He reached up, carefully placing it on the highest branch. The star caught the light, shimmering beautifully and casting tiny reflections around the room.
"It's perfect," Monoma whispered, his eyes shining with happiness.
Shinso turned to face him, their bodies close. "You're perfect," he said softly, cupping Monoma's cheek.
Monoma leaned into the touch, his eyes closing briefly before opening to meet Shinso's gaze. "I love you, Hitoshi."
"I love you too, Neito." Shinso replied, his voice filled with warmth and sincerity.
They stood there for a moment, lost in each other's eyes, the world outside fading away. Then, slowly, Shinso leaned in, capturing Monoma's lips in a passionate kiss. It was a kiss that spoke of love, trust, a little bit of lust and a future filled with countless more Christmases together.
When they finally pulled apart, Monoma's cheeks were flushed, his eyes bright. "Let's finish decorating," he said, his voice a little breathless. "We still have stockings to hang and cookies to decorate."
Shinso nodded, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "And hot cocoa to drink."
Monoma laughed, the sound filling the room with joy. "Yes, definitely hot cocoa."
They spent the rest of the evening decorating their home, adding touches of Christmas cheer to every corner. They hung stockings by the fireplace, decorated sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, and sipped hot cocoa by the twinkling tree.
As the night drew on, they curled up together on the couch, wrapped in a cosy blanket. The room was filled with the soft glow of the Christmas lights, and outside, the snow continued to fall, painting the world in a peaceful white.
Shinso rested his head on Monoma's shoulder, feeling a deep sense of contentment. "This is perfect," he murmured.
Monoma pressed a kiss to Shinso's temple, his heart full. "It really is. Merry Christmas, Hitoshi."
"Merry Christmas, Neito," Shinso replied, closing his eyes and savouring the warmth of their love.
In that quiet, magical moment, surrounded by the beauty of their Christmas decorations and the love they had for each other, Shinso and Monoma knew they had found something truly special. And as they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, they dreamt of all the wonderful Christmases yet to come, knowing that as long as they were together, every holiday would be filled with even more love and joy.
