ship: katsuki bakugo + eijiro kirishima.

The moon hung high in the sky, casting a pale light over the desolate battlefield. The once vibrant area was now a landscape of devastation, marked by the aftermath of a brutal confrontation. Shattered debris and scorched earth were the only witnesses to the fierce battle that had taken place. In the midst of the wreckage, Eijiro Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugo lay side by side, their bodies battered and broken from the fight.

Kirishima's red hero suit was torn and stained with blood, his usually bright eyes dimmed by pain. Beside him, Bakugo's uniform was in a similar state of disarray. His face was smeared with grime and blood, his breathing shallow and laboured. Despite their injuries, there was a fierce determination in his eyes as he looked at Kirishima.

The two had fought valiantly, their powers working in tandem to try and protect innocent lives from a formidable enemy. But the odds had been against them, and now they were left with little hope. The reality of their situation was sinking in, the weight of their failure pressing heavily upon them.

Kirishima turned his head slightly, his eyes meeting Bakugo's with a mixture of sorrow and resolve. The silence was heavy, filled only with the distant sounds of sirens and the occasional crackle of smouldering fires. He could see the anguish and regret etched on Bakugo's face, and his heart ached to see his partner in such a state.

"Bakugo," Kirishima's voice was weak but steady. "I know we failed."

Bakugo's gaze flickered toward Kirishima, his eyes reflecting the pain and frustration of their situation. "Yeah... we messed up," he rasped, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't... I couldn't... protect everyone."

Kirishima reached out with a trembling hand, his fingers brushing against Bakugo's. "It's not your fault. We did everything we could."

Bakugo's eyes welled up with unshed tears, his jaw clenching as he struggled to keep his composure. "I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to... be better. For you, for everyone."

Kirishima squeezed Bakugo's hand gently, his own tears beginning to spill. "You were already amazing. You fought with everything you had. I'm so proud of you."

A pained smile crossed Bakugo's face, a mixture of relief and sorrow. "You were incredible too. I wish... I wish things had turned out differently."

Kirishima's voice was soft but filled with conviction. "I know we failed, but I would still do it all again. If it meant being with you, fighting alongside you... I would do it all over."

Bakugo's eyes locked onto Kirishima's, a flicker of hope and gratitude shining through the pain. "I'd do it again too. Even if it meant... ending up like this."

The two shared a bittersweet smile, their hands still intertwined. The world around them seemed to blur, the edges of their vision growing dim. Despite the dire circumstances, there was a sense of peace in their shared acknowledgment of their love and dedication.

Kirishima's breathing was becoming more erratic, his strength waning. "I'm glad I got to fight beside you. I wouldn't have wanted to face this with anyone else."

Bakugo's grip tightened slightly on Kirishima's hand, his own strength slipping away. "Same here. You've always been my rock, my... everything."

The silence between them grew more profound, the reality of their situation settling in. Their breaths were shallow, their bodies growing colder as the life slowly ebbed from them. Despite the encroaching darkness, they found solace in each other's presence, their connection a beacon of light in the bleakness.

Kirishima turned his head to look at Bakugo one last time, his eyes filled with a mixture of love and acceptance. "I love you, Bakugo. More than words can ever say."

Bakugo's final smile was one of profound tenderness. "I love you too, Kirishima. Always."

With those final words, the world around them seemed to fade into a peaceful embrace. The distant sounds of the world continued, but for Kirishima and Bakugo, their pain and struggle had come to an end. Their hands remained clasped together, a symbol of their enduring love and unwavering commitment to each other, even in their final moments.

As the night deepened and the stars shone overhead, the two pro heroes found solace in their shared sacrifice. In their hearts, they knew that their love had transcended the battlefield, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, devotion, and an unbreakable bond that would endure beyond the shadows of their final fight.
