"...I ended up bringing it in..."
I looked at the bizarre object placed on top of the table in front of me.
What was given to me was a box slightly larger than my palm. It was surprisingly heavier than it looked, but not heavy enough that I could not lift it without using both hands. For some reason, the part that had my name and address written on the sealing sticker was heavier and denser than the other parts.
Although I wanted to throw this unknown thing away, the apartment owner suddenly came out carrying her trash... a bunch of beer cans and bottles before I did. Afraid of her would suddenly vent her night life at me, I slowly made my way back into my room while she threw her trash noisily.
"...should I just... toss it away...?"
"What is it that you are worried about?"
I almost jumped in surprise when I heard the unexpected voice coming from my shoulder.
When I turned to look at the source, I saw the small-sized Witch... TIZ who were floating in the air and slowly glided down to the sealed package.
"...is this that solar-powered self-cleaning robot that you bought online last week?"
"......I don't know how you even find out about that... but no, I did not buy anything from FIS Enterprise aside from the FIS-HE you came out from."
While I did not dislike stuff given to me for absolutely free, it was another thing if I had no idea why this was given to me. The man delivering this thing said that I won this thing from a 'Raffle', but I never participated in any online lucky draw events... or at least as far as I could remember.
...and given that there was multiple news about crime syndicates giving narcotics or digital drugs to random people to prevent those things from being traced to them, it made me wary of whatever was inside the package.
"...the deliveryman using FIS Enterprise logistic vehicle did not know my name, but they knew my room number. And I never put that information in my delivery address, no matter which website I registered my identity from. Not to mention, he just gave the item and left as if he was running away from me."
"......did you threaten him like how you threatened Muriel?"
"No, I just talked with him normally. Wait, how did-"
"Umm... can you please open the package?" All of a sudden, I could hear a muffled yet crisp voice from the sealed package. "...even if I do not need to breathe, I still don't like feeling restricted like this..."
Hearing the unexpected yet somewhat familiar voice, my eyes slowly turned to TIZ who widened her eyes in surprise... and towards my backpack near the table where my PC was. I kept my eyes on the talking package as I took out... a Swiss army knife from the side pockets.
After flipping out the knife part... I approached the sealed package on the table... and swung down the knife, stabbing the table right next to the object.
"!!"
"HII!?"
"Oops, I missed."
"M-MISSED!? WHAT MISSED!? WHAT IS IT THAT MISSED!?!?"
"...well, you know. Accidents happen."
"W-What accident!? What kind of accident are you talking about?"
"Not much. Just that I tripped and banged my head a bit."
"A... are you okay? Does it hurt much? Do I have to call the nearest hospital?"
...I was going to play around and slowly threaten to destroy the object, but the female's genuinely concerned voice threw a wrench on my plans.
I considered continuing with my acting at first... but then decided to go against it. I pulled out the knife from the table and began using it to slowly reveal the content of this package.
