Mysterious Encounter

Sickness

It has been a year since monsters were freed from the underground. Sans is asleep in his new room which appears a lot cleaner.

The room turns pitch black as he woke up. He saw nothing but darkness for a little while until a mysterious shadowy figure with a glowing green outline approached him. The figure started attacking him.

Sans leaped out of his bed and ran out into the woods. He ran and ran but the scary figure kept following him. Eventually he was cornered. The shadow approached closer and closer and closer and closer. A monster soul was shattered and everything then fades to black.

"SANS?" A loud voice sounded. "SANS?" The voice said again. "SANS!" Sans finally woke up for real. He screamed in horror causing his brother, Papyrus, to scream as well. The screaming stopped and Sans spoke. "uh ...pa..papyrus?"

"WOWIE. HI SANS. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD GET THAT LOUD. I HAVE LEARNED A THING." Papyrus said as he still sounded surprised.

"um. why did you scream?" Asked Sans.

"BECAUSE YOU SCREAMED AND I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THAT." Answered Papyrus.

"wait really?" Asked Sans.

"I'M JUST AS SHOCKED. I DIDN'T BELIEVE YOU KNEW HOW TO YELL." Papyrus said.

"the more you know i guess. what were ya doin' in here anyway?" Sans asked again.

"WELL I HEARD A LOUD THUD. IT SOUNDED LIKE YOH FELL OUT OF YOUR BED. SO FOLLOWING MY BROTHERLY INSTINCTS I CAME IN TO CHECK ON YOU. AND IT'S A GOOD THING I DID. YOU WERE ON THE FLOOR, TOSSING AND TURNING, WHILE MAKING A BUNCH OF UNITELLIGABLE VOWEL SOUNDS." Answered Papyrus.

"huh, ok." Sans said.

"OK!?" Papyrus started yelling out of concernment. "SANS YOU WOKE UP SCREAMING! IT WAS GETTING REALLY CONCERNING. AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS OK? I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU BROTHER. IT'S NOT LIKE YOU TO BE THAT RESTLESS IN YOUR SLEEP."

"what are you talking about? you know I am so good at sleeping i can even do it with my eyes closed." Sans said.

"SANS! BE SERIOUS. I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU. THIS IS THE FIFTH TIME THIS WEEK YOU'VE WOKEN UP IN DISTRESS. THIS ONE WAS THE LOUDEST. WHILE I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING AN EARLY START TO THE DAY I DON'T THINK YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT. IT'S LIKE YOU WERE HAVING NIGHTMARES. WERE YOU?" Asked Papyrus.

"okay you caught me. i did have nightmares this week. those nightmares were all strangely connected though. it was like the same nightmare but different versions." Answered Sans.

"REALLY? WAS IT THE ONE WHERE EVERYONE LEFT THE UNDERGROUND AND YOU ACCIDENTALLY GOT LEFT BEHIND BY YOURSELF? WAS AT LEAST ONE OF THEM YOU BEING POSSESSED BY THAT FLOWER TOO? BECAUSE LET ME ASSURE YOU BROTHER. I WOULD NEVER LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU IN REAL LIFE. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR." Asked Papyrus.

"no." Answered Sans.

"THEN WAS IT THE ONE WHERE YOU ARE LOST IN AN ENDLESS HALLWAY THAT YOU COULDN'T FIND YOUR WAY OUT OF? THEN YOU WERE ATTACKED BY LIVING CULETRY WITH A KNIFE? YOU WOULDN'T EVEN GO NEAR THE SILVERWARE FOR A WEEK AFTER THAT. DON'T THINK I DIDN'T NOTICE." Papyrus guessed again.
