"Serene, here please!"

"Another pose please!"

I did my best to smile in front of the camera. I faced here and there to give them what they want. I am actually tired and just wants to go home to rest, but the more you deny their requests, the more they become pushy and annoying.

I maintain my poise and smiled. I just launched another collaboration with a make up brand with a purpose. Some of their profits are going to the charity that they are supporting, like an orphanage or women who are victim of an abuse.

I smiled one more time and said good bye to them.

My two body guards are protecting me from the press and paparazzis who are still aggressive but I still smiled at them hanggang sa makapasok ng tuluyan sa sasakyan.

My assistant asked me.

"No, my parents wants me home tonight so sa bahay tayo."

I had a long day but I actually enjoyed the event earlier. Minus the press.

When I went out of the car, I turned to Luna and my bodyguards. "You're all coming with me next week. I mean if you can. If you have other plans, take it as your leave. I am still going to pay you pero hindi naman required na sumama kayo."

"Okay, I'll stay here until tuesday so you can fetch me on wednesday. You can prepare your things na dadalhin n'yo sa bakasyon. Ingat kayo sa byahe."

Luna is staying with me in my condo unit. I asked her if she is comfortable to stay with me and she said yes. My condo is big enough for us. It has three bedrooms. While my body guards are staying in a unit near me, of course I paid for it as well.

When I went inside the house, the maid quickly ran to me.

"Good evening, ma'am Serene.

She's pertaining about my parents. I nodded and went there. I saw my parents quietly eating.

I saw my dad's eyes shine when he saw me and stood up and opened his arms for a hug. I went to him and gave him a warm hug. While my mom stayed sitting and continued eating. I went to her side and kissed her cheeks.

"Good evening, parents."

And he said that he is so proud of me.

I sat in front of my mom. Kaagad akong inasikaso ng mga katulong namin.

"Good that you haven't eaten yet. Your mom cooked her specialty." masayang sabi ni dad.

Her face is stoic at palaging siyang tahimik. She seems cold in all aspects.

"Have you thought of applying for a job? I mean, we didn't spend so much money so you can graduate on the course that you've chosen to study before."

"Serise..." my dad called my mom.

"Let's let her do what she wants, honey-" my dad said but mom didn't let him finish.

"Isn't that what we were doing ever since she graduated? We let her do the things that she wants but she promised to find a real job."

What she said hurt me. People may not see modeling as a job, but it is one of those toughest job. Being able to stay healthy, to be ready for criticisms from other people is hard. I know that people will say that I deserve them because I chose this path...but I know that. I just don't like how people think that being a model and a public figure is easy.

"After my next project, m-mommy. I promised to work na po."

I heard her sighed in disappointment. I jut swallowed the lump in my throat because I know that she didn't like what I said...
