Maya and the dragon

Prologue

"Mum, i really need some help now". Rosa says as she carries her noisy and stubborn child. "Gu Gu Ga Ga...". She looks at the child in disgust as saliva is drooling down the girl's mouth. "Em... She can listen to your stories as i go to the market." " I hope she won't be a trouble because i enjoy "perfect' peace and silence". Rosa looks at granny Ama smiling and chuckling. 'Can i trust you on that?". "Trust me, she enjoys your stories, i'm off, bye". As Granny turns, everywhere is turned into a mess, the children are shouting and screaming. "Okay children!". They turn and blink their eyes and then return to their shouting and screaming. "Okay then, i will have to catch you". it doesn't work out well as Granny Ama is old and weak, so she goes to bring some coconut water. The kids freeze when they smell the scent of the water. 'uh uh, whoever sits down quietly and listens to granny will drink off the water, whoever doesn't listen won't drink the water, understood?... ". She looks at the children to see their reaction, all of them have froze on the spot. Children in Madang love the water from the coconut and so it was a perfect bait. Good job, Granny Ama. " ... Now sit". They sit quietly.

They start jumping,clapping, and laughing. Granny Ama chuckles.

After a while, all the children had gone home except Maya. "Your mother isn't back from the market yet, would you like to hear the remaining story" "uh uh uh uh" "then sit down my dear".Granny starts with '...MA manga fought with the last son, but he was defeated, MA manga used his crystal against him and then he disappeared, nowhere to be seen, i was there, i picked up a stick and hit MA manga on the head when she wasn't watching..." "bad MA manga" "...Yeah Bad, evil MA manga, so, after knocking her out, i picked the crystal and hid it in a box somewhere safe..." "Somewhere safe" "yeah, the people fled to this island which is where you are now, Madang, my darling, the end". Granny brushes her index finger on little Maya's nose. Maya claps "Ba ... gah". Rosa comes in. "Oh thank you mother,Maya dear, we will go now, say bye" "bye'. She waves at Granny with her little palms. 'Bye dear".
