•Third Person's point of view
Justine lay sprawled on the living room floor, with the dim glow of the fireplace making shadows on the walls. The room was quiet except for the soft crackling of the fire and the gentle clink of glass as he sipped his vodka. The lights were off, and the only light came from the flames, giving everything a dreamlike look.
The bright red flowers stood out sharply against his messy appearance. The once-beautiful flowers now seemed to taunt him, their beauty a painful reminder of what he had lost. The vodka did little to ease his pain; instead, it seemed to make his sense of despair even worse.
He was alone in his dark, quiet home, drinking to forget the pain of being dumped by Kinsley. He stared at the roses-the same ones Kinsley had turned down. Each raindrop hitting the window felt like a tear he wanted to cry.
"Bakit hindi na lang kasi ako?" bulong nito at tuluyan na umiyak.
Pinunasan niya ang kaniyang luha at nilagok ang natitirang alak sa baso niya. The bouquet of roses, which was once a sign of his love, now felt like a heavy burden. He stood up unsteadily, the alcohol making his movements slow. His hands shook a little as he held the bouquet, his mind foggy from the drink and the pain.
He walked to the front door and noticed the green umbrella leaning against the wall. Feeling like it was the right thing to do, he grabbed it and opened the door. The storm outside hit him with a strong wind and heavy rain. The rain poured down hard, soaking him almost immediately as he stepped onto the porch.
The darkness of the night surrounded him, and the rain made it hard to see beyond his current situation. He walked to the trashcan, the bouquet of roses feeling heavier with each step. The roses, which used to show his love, now felt like they were holding him back, and he was ready to move on.
"Mag momove on na ba talaga ako sa'yo? damn it! hindi ko kaya!" he said weakly while staring at the roses.
Just as he was about to throw the flowers in the trash, a figure appeared from the shadows. The sudden sight of the man shocked Justine, making him step back a bit. He spoke in a rough whisper, barely heard over the rain.
"Pano...ka nakapunta dito?" Justine asked, his voice showing confusion and annoyance, gripping the roses tighter.
The man chuckled quietly, hinahayaan nito mabasa siya sa ulan.
"And those roses? You're just going to throw them away? akin na lang!"
Before Justine could react, the man grabbed the bouquet from his hands, still smirking. Inamoy amoy pa nito ang bulaklak.
"Leave," Justine said firmly, but his voice shook, showing his weakness.
He took a step back, the alcohol making him unsteady. He let the rain soaked him.
"Kalma, bro. Are you okay? I know what happened sainyo ni Kinsley. I'm on your side. Let me help you." The man's smirk grew bigger, and his eyes had a strange, unsettling shine. As he turned to leave, he casually took the green umbrella that had been left in the rain.
Justine watched helplessly as the man walked away with the umbrella. The rain kept pouring, soaking him as he stood there, feeling more alone than ever. The cold, unforgiving night and the storm matched his broken heart.
