Chapter 12

Jieun's POV

"Jieun? Wake up now..", I woke up to a familiar voice, gently rubbing my shoulder as I opened my eyes to see Jay.
"It's almost 9..", I said, looking at the time in my phone.
"Yeah! Come now, I've made breakfast for you..", he told me.

I immediately got up from the bed as I immediately went to the washroom for a while and washed my face with cold water, and then, I immediately followed Jay to the dining room as I started to eat the breakfast he made for me. He must be finished already. Oh well! I guess I have to eat by myself then! I thought to myself as I started munching a slice of a pancake. A few seconds later, my phone suddenly started ringing, indicating that I'm now receiving a call from someone, and the moment I checked the caller ID, I immediately realized that it was Chaehyun.

"What?", I asked her.
"Girl, chill! Bad mood?", she said with a chuckle.
"Oh sorry! I was just eating breakfast like.. right now when you suddenly called!", I said as I went back to eating my breakfast.
"Oops! My bad! Anyways.. how are you doing there?", she asked me.
"I'm fine!", I told her with reassurance.
"That's nice to hear! Did he hurt you?", she said.
"No! He doesn't do that anymore.", I said.
"Would you mind telling me about him?", she asked.
"Well Chae... I'm slowly starting to know who he is. And I'm slowly going deeper, but not to the extent of literally finding out everything like a detective!", I quietly said.
"Really? How was it?", she asked.
"It's too personal to share to everybody, since it involves his family..", I said.
"Oh, ok! Don't tell it to me then! I don't want him to get mad at you, since he trusts you.", she told me.
"I will!", I said.
"By the way, I won't keep you for too long now so you can continue eating breakfast!", she said.
"Ok! I guess I'll just see you when I come back!", I said.
"Mhm! Take care of yourself always, NiNi!", she told me.
"You too!", I said as I ended the call and placed my phone on the table.
"Who was that?", a familiar voice asked as I flinched when Jay suddenly entered the dining room.
"Oh! Umm.. it was Chaehyun..", I said.
"I see! By the way.. I'll take you home in the afternoon since the rain will stop at that time of the day according to the weather forecast.", he told me.
"Alright then..", I said.
"Umm.. by the way.. how's your sleep?", he asked me as he sat on the opposite side of the table, facing me.
"Uhhh... fine, I guess? I'm just glad you didn't snore!", I said as he just chuckled.
"I don't snore though..", he said.
"Oh.. um by the way... will it be ok if I can use a bathroom for a moment? I need to take a shower.", I told him.
"Yeah! You can use the one in my room.", he said.
"Are you sure? That's your own bathroom.", I said.
"Yeah!", he said.
"Alright then!", I said.

Thankfully I brought some extra shirt, clothes, undergarments and some shampoo and soap that I usually use after gym workouts. And so, I immediately went to the bathroom and took a shower.

Jay's POV

After going inside my bedroom, I immediately went back downstairs to the living room, and there I saw Jieun, reading a book. She's just getting more and more beautiful recently. I thought to myself as I stared at her beautiful facial features and the way a strand of hair was slightly covering her face a bit.

"Hey Jieun..", I said as I sat beside her.
"I... umm... what are you doing here?", she asked me.
"Just checking if you're doing ok..", I said as I softly caressed her left cheek.
"Oh, I see! I'm fine, I'm just reading a book!", she said.
"Why are you so beautiful?", I said with a sigh as I stared at her deeply in the eyes.

I just let myself fall for her even more with just how I stared at her beautiful brown eyes, her slim nose bridge, and her beautiful red lips. She looked perfect, and I don't know why Jisung left her for some uglier girl. I was continuously staring at her, that I didn't even realize that I was slowly closing our gap with a kiss. I won't go any further. I can't just kiss her without her consent. I thought to myself as I just planted a soft peck on the tip of her nose.
