CHAPTER 8

Artemis

I've been avoiding miss astra for almost a week. It's just that I couldn't control my heart whenever she's near at me. I don't know what's happening to me.

" hey frenny, okay ka lang ba?" tanong ni max. I look at her then shake my head.

" bakit? The exam was done already."

" it's not about the exam, max. It's about miss astra." I said as I lean my head on the table here in the cafeteria.

" bakit? Nag away kayo?" ani ni gail.

" no, we didn't fight. It's just that..." I said then look towards max and gail.

" it's just that I am avoiding her for almost a week already. " I said

" why?"  max and gail said in sync. I just shrugged my shoulder at them.

" I'm just confused but I think this confusion will not last long. So yeah." I gaslighted myself.

Max and gail just look each other weirdly and smirk then face me.

" sa tingin ko kailangan mo malaman kung ano talaga ang nag papa confuse sayo about kay miss astra. " ani ni gail then max nodded.

" true ka jan, beshycake" max agreeing to gail statement then I just nodded at them.

Time skip

Today is Saturday, I am still in my room just woke up and stared at the ceiling. Just thinking about this confusion of mine. This confusion starts when miss astra kissed me that day then said I love you. Whenever I reminisce that scene my heart instantly beat faster than the usual beat.

I decided to go down already because it's already 8 am and usually we eat out breakfast together by 8 am whenever it's weekend then 7 am when it's weekdays. I saw my parents at the dining and great them.

" Hi ma, pa good morning." I great them then kiss their cheeks.

" good morning also princess. Have a seat already." papa said while reading news paper.

" good morning honey, how's you sleep?" mama asked me then asked our yaya to get my milk.

" good, mama. Good thing we done have homeworks and the midterm exams just ended. " I said while putting a food on my plate. My mama just nodded and we start eating. After several minutes, my papa speak up.

" Darling, did you know that my friends daughter is having a relationship with a woman also. " my said to my mama. I just look at them while listening.

" really?" my mama asked then my papa just nodded.

" children nowadays having a relationship with the same gender where in facts it's a sin. " my papa stated the he look at me.

" so you princess, do not ever cross in you mind to have a relationship with the same gender. It's not right in the eyes of everybody, okay? " my papa said and I nodded.

" papa, what if I might fall in love with the same gender as I am? Would you allow me? " I asked and I don't know why I asked that, it just came out from my mouth. My mama and papa look at me in straight face.

" princess, I won't allow you to have that kind of relationship. If that would happen, I wouldn't know what I can do. Your mama and I want is the best for you and that kind of a relationship wasn't the bext for you." my papa said.

" your papa is right, anak. "  my mama agreed to my papa's statement. I just smiled at them then nodded. We continue our breakfast in peace.

After our breakfast, I decided to go upstairs because I just feel not feeling well after the conversation we had earlier. I don't know why I feel like this.
