"Hey mom" I said knocking on her door. I am just getting here, and I'm alone. I left Ryan a note saying that I'm already here, and not to worry.

I want him to sleep in. Cause he didn't really get much the night before because his mom made him do a whole bunch of stuff to get ready for the trip. He is a growing boy and needs his rest.

But I'm here so early because I really need to talk to my mom about this whole Ryan and me falling for him. Oh and me practically telling him twice that I like him.

"Hey honey" she says shakily "come on in. You don't need to knock"  she scoots over and I walk in and sit next to her on her bed.

"How did you sleep?" I ask making conversation. Trying to keep a calm face but epically failing. Why am I so worried?! I'm just going to get her opinion. Yea that all.

"What's wrong?"she doesn't even answer my question. Oh no! She saw through it!

"What?" I smile at her trying to make it like nothing is wrong.

"It's just that you have never asked me that unless I ask you first. So what's wrong? Or is there something you want to talk about?" She begs me but then sighs and looks down sadly "I'm your mother, you can tell me anything"

I smile and lay my head on her shoulder happy at that knowing that I can tell her anything. I always have told her everything. Every crush, every mistake, every friend. She has always been the one I go to when I need someone. Not my friends. My mother and I have a special relationship, most kids want nothing to do with their moms, but my mom is my best friend. She is my life.

"Well, you see, obviously you know Ryan" I pause and mom nods "okay, so when I was back home, he asked me out. And I just broke up with Luke almost a week, I think, before. So I told him no." I pause to make sure mom is okay.

"What?! Why would you tell him no?! He is the cutest thing ever! You two would be the cutest couple!" She bursts and I smile slightly.

"Because I just broke up with Luke, and I didn't want it to seem like a whore, that I move on from guy to guy quickly." I say smoothly.

"I know what a whore is, and let me tell you, if you can say you are a whore, you aren't. That number one. Number two, you wouldn't. Were you and Luke growing apart?" mom says.

"I don't know" I say "I mean I guess, we didn't text, or anything after you left."

"So yes you two did grow apart." She shakes her head.

"So what does that mean?" I ask her.

"It means you were over sooner then the official break up."

"Oh,"

"So where was this whole story going?"

"Oh yea right, well last night when we were in the hotel, I may have kissed him" I barely whisper.

"What?! Aw, that's adorable!" She half screams and I just blush.

"What's adorable?" A way too familiar voice asks. I slowly turn around to find find out that I guessed right. Ryan.

"Oh it's nothing! It was just this really cute couple I saw walking over. The guy proposed to the other guy on the beach." I quickly make up. I hear my mom giggle at me and I just glare at her.

"Oh okay" Ryan says and comes in and sits down in the chair.

"Nice quick thinking" mom says and I just smile at her.

"So how are you feeling?" Ryan asks my mom.

"I'm doing well honey. How about you?" She asks.
