Hours passed by and classes were over for the day, Soobin and Beomgyu exchanged numbers during lunch, bonding really well. As Beomgyu walked home he couldn't help but want to check-up on Yeonjun, he already knew where he lived either way. His mind is still partly on his new friend, Soobin.
But his thoughts kept drifting to Yeonjun as well, wondering why he hadn't shown up to class today. Before he realized it, he found himself standing in front of Yeonjun's house, a sudden impulse to check up on him taking over.
He looked up at the house before him, his heart beating just a little faster than usual. He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before steeling himself and walking up to the door. He paused for a moment before knocking lightly, his hands in his pockets as he waited anxiously.
The door opened then, revealing a disheveled Yeonjun. Looking as if he just woke up. "Beomgyu..?"
Beomgyu couldn't help but let out a slight smirk as the door opened, his eyes raking over Yeonjun's disheveled appearance. His heart skipped a beat at the way the boy's hair was sticking up in messy tufts, and the dark circles under his hazy eyes.
He leaned against the door frame, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Well, hello to you too. Nice to see you alive at least."
"I was only absent one day" Beomgyu shrugged, his smirk widening slightly as he looked the boy up and down.
"That's one day too many." He responded in a teasing tone, pushing past Yeonjun and into the house. He glanced around, taking everything in before turning back to Yeonjun.
"You look like hell, by the way." Yeonjun's eyes faltered sadly, taking the words too seriously as he looked down at his slightly ragged sleeping clothes.
"Get out of my h-house! I didn't ask for you to come!" Beomgyu's smirk faltered slightly as he saw the sadness in Yeonjun's eyes, realizing he had perhaps been too harsh.
"Hey, woah, hey, hey, it was just a joke. Relax, pretty boy." He reached forward, placing a gentle hand on Yeonjun's shoulder, hoping to soothe the boy's sudden defensiveness.
"Leave my damn house right now you slut! My day has been terrible and I don't need you making it w-worse!" Yeonjun pushed him off.
Beomgyu stepped back, surprised by the sudden anger and force in Yeonjun's push. His expression darkened slightly, hurt flashing through his eyes for a brief moment at the harshness in the boy's tone.
"Whoa, hey, woah... calm down, what the hell's wrong with you? I just came to check on you..." "I have a fever that's what!" Yeonjun glared at him before feeling his body start releasing small beads of sweat, he sluggishly made his way over towards his couch. Sitting down on it as he hugged a pillow tightly, his breathing getting heavy.
