Sophia’s POV

A knock on the door had me jumping up from the bed and wrapping the blanket around my body and walking to the door.

“Who’s there?” I asked cautiously.

“Me, of course. Who else?” Jenny answered with the usual sass in her voice. I narrowed my eyes before unlocking the door and opening it. She stood outside, leaning on the wall with her arms crossed. A bag was slung over her shoulder and I suspected that was where she had kept my clothes.

“Was the ‘d’ that good?” She asked as she pushed past me and walked into the room. I rolled my eyes again as I closed the door and locked it behind us.

“Good morning to you to,” I answered with enough sass in my voice, just like hers.

“You haven’t answered my question,” she murmured.

“And you haven’t replied my greeting,” I answered her. “Why are you cranky this morning?”

“Me? Cranky? Lol I’m not,” she said flatly as she took off the backpack and removed my clothes. She threw them to me and I caught them expertly. A shirt and a shirt.

“Uh…thanks?” I let the blanket drop to the floor and wore the clothes she had brought hurriedly. “Have my parents called or anything?”

“No, Sophia. They’ve not,” she answered with an over exaggerated sigh as her eyes roamed over the room and landed on the tattered dress on the floor. “Ooh…that seems… steamy.”

“Shut up,” I answered her with a roll of my eyes as I grabbed the back and checked if she had brought any other necessities. Thankfully my hair oil and hair comb was inside the bag.

“You’re supposed to tell me all the interesting things that had happened yesterday,” she said, her eyes bright as I loosened the bun and began oiling my hair.

“What makes you think any interesting things happened yesterday?” I asked with a slight shake of my head.

“Sophia, I will not let you lie to me that nothing interesting happened yesterday. You mean to tell me that you and Mr Handsome didn’t do anything yesterday?” She raised a brow.

“What if we didn’t?” I asked, raising an eyebrow too.

“Then why is the dress all tattered on the floor?”

“Ugh, fine!” I said with an eye roll. I was eager to tell her anyways. Just like she had told me about how she had her first the time it happened, I also had to tell her about mine.

“So?” She asked, looking at me with curious and eager eyes.

“We had sex,” I told her, heat creeping up my cheeks. I turned away from her and looked at the mirror as I combed my hair. The shirt had covered the puncture marks.

“Uh, duh. That’s too obvious,” she answered. “No that’s not what I’m talking about. I need all the details!”

“Uh…what do you want me to tell you?”

“Everything! Jeez! You know that,” she explained and rubbed her forehead. “Anyways, I’m waiting. Tell me everything!”

“Ugh fine fine! We had sex. He didn’t know I was a virgin…I didn’t tell him, and he went gently at first but then he got…” I blushed and bit my lip. “It was mind blowing.”

“Is that so?” Jenny asked, a tiny smile on her face and her brows raised. “Well I’m glad it was a great experience for you. What’s his name?”

“That’s the thing. We didn’t exchange names,” I answered her with a sigh. “No names, no contact, nothing.”

“Umm…okay, did you use condoms?” She asked.

My eyes went wide for a second as I remembered we didn’t. And that was bad. “No,” I answered slowly. “We didn’t.”

“Why didn’t you tell him he couldn’t go in without a condom?” She asked, her eyes wide as she watched me.

“I wasn’t exactly in the right stare of mind,” I answered, already feeling embarrassed.

“Jeez! You didn’t think of infections or anything?” She gave me a disapproving look but then sighed. “Well I was just as careless as you on my first time so I understand. We’ll go to the doctor to get a check up and make sure you’re clean. Did he pull out at least?”

I shook my head slowly. “No, he didn’t.”

“You really weren’t in the right state of mind,” she answered with a roll of her eyes. “We’ll go to the hospital now and we’ll talk to the doctor. He’s gonna give you some pills.”

“Won’t he ask for my parents?” I asked with a frown. “You know, I’m young and all.”

“You’re 18. You’re legal,” she answered with a roll of her eyes like it was common knowledge.

“And he won’t tell my dad? He’s the sheriff, you know. Everyone knows him,” I reminded her.

“Whatever you and the doctor discuss is strictly confidential between you and him,” she assured me. “Jeez, now I’m feeling like some kind of adult, hehe.”

I rolled my eyes at her as I dropped my hair comb and packed my hair into a sleek low bun. I returned my comb and hair oil into the bag and slung it over my shoulders.

“What about shoes? You didn’t bring any?” I asked with a frown.

“Unfortunately, that skipped my mind.” She gave me a tight-lipped smile.

“Are you saying I’m gonna have to leave here in freaking heels?” I pouted.

“Yes, sorry,” she answered in an unapologetic tone. “Anyways, where is your Mr Handsome?”

“He left before I woke up,” I answered, rubbing my face then sliding my feet into the heels I had worn here yesterday.

“Oou weird as fuck,” she commented. “That’s crazy. Isn’t it you that’s supposed to be running from the man? You’re the one who supposed to leave first.”

“Yeah well,” I answered with a shrug. “Change of roles I guess.”

“Hmm,” she answered, nodding her head. “Good thing I brought my car so you don’t have to walk all the way to the hospital in heels. That’s just how much I love you, you know. Sigh. You should count your self lucky,” she added dramatically.

“Hehehe.”
