The rest of the classes went by pretty quick and I had to go straight to detention, they even had escorts for everyone that went, I feel like I'm walking down death row right now. We walked all the way into this really creepy room that I've never seen before and there were all these kids that looked like they were either straight from the ghetto or just emo all the way.

I looked around the room a little disgusted but if I act too pristine up in here, I might not come out.
Well the person supposed to watch us was running late and everybody was on their phones, so I pulled mine out and decided to text Nicole.

Me: Did you pick him up?
She replied really quickly.

Nic:Yea I just picked him up and he said some boy was messing with him in school today, and that he got in trouble but it was the boys fault.

Me: What did he do?

Nic: Cat, what do you think he did? Like the little man he is he fought him :)

I could tell she was getting smart with me but I knew she wasn't lying about Damon. I mean I knew Damon had problems in school but I never knew he would actually fight someone I hope he's alright.

I immediately called her not caring where I was at the moment.

I heard the ringer.

"Hello! I just told you I'm driving."

As she said that the boy I saw in first period came into the room and I paused for a minute.

"Put him on the phone." I said anxiously.

"Okay if you say so..."

"Hello" he said sounding like he was worried.

"What did you do." I asked him calmly in my big-sis-to-the-rescue voice.

"The boy kept calling me names and doing stupid things like bumping into me and pinching me and knocking my books down all the time. So Cat I hit him back." He said nervously.

"Damon what the hell is wrong with you! You don't just go around putting your hands on people! What did the teacher say?" People started looking at me since I was speaking very loudly but quite frankly I didn't care.

"I get suspended for five days."

"Damon!" I had to take a deep breath. "Damon. I'll talk to you when I get home ok, but for now no tv, no video games, and no going to Johnny's okay? And if you do I'm the next one your gonna have to fight you hear me?" I hung up the phone. I shook my head. "I can't believe this shit man." I said to myself but it came out louder, and by then everyone was staring at me including the teacher in the doorway that appeared out of nowhere.

She had her arms crossed over her chest,"Are you done now?"

I was not in the mood to be bothered right now I just wanna get home to my brother and see if he's alright.

So I put a smile on my face, "Yup." But she took it as me getting smart and I will admit I kinda of was...and once again I don't care.

"Oh your one of them girls with that new type of attitude aren't ya? Well we're gonna fix that up real quick. How bout a full week of detention?"

Let me say it one more time, I really did not care what she had to say at the time. So I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Oh you don't care huh? We'll see about that." She said getting up all in my face close enough to hit me. So I just got up and went to another seat toward the back. Which just happened to be right next to that boy.
