*As Anvi glanced at the clock, she said, "It's too late, we should go to bed now. Shanvi, tomorrow is your first day at your job, so make sure you get enough sleep, or you'll be late." Shanvi nodded in agreement, though a flicker of nervousness crossed her face. She knew Anvi was right, but the weight of tomorrow still lingered in her mind. They both went to bed, yet Shanvi tossed and turned, her thoughts racing about how her first day would go.

***The next morning,***

the alarm rang loudly, its sharp sound cutting through the stillness. Anvi groaned, burying her head under the pillow. "Can you turn it off?" she mumbled, her voice muffled. The sudden rush of morning chaos hadn't hit her yet. Shanvi grabbed her phone and saw it was already 8 o'clock. Panic surged through her chest. Her heart raced as she quickly shook Anvi awake, "Anvi, it's already 8 o'clock!"

Anvi, still half asleep, sat up abruptly. Her eyes blinked rapidly as she processed the time. "I have to leave by 9 o'clock," she said groggily, rubbing her eyes. But Shanvi's worry was written all over her face. "They told me to be there by 8:30! I need to get ready now." Her voice carried a blend of urgency and anxiety. She felt the pressure of the ticking clock in her chest.

Anvi, sensing her friend's rising tension, replied calmly, "Okay, you go take a shower first, and I'll get up too." Shanvi dashed to the bathroom, the water from the shower barely having time to warm before she jumped in. As she scrubbed her skin, her mind was spinning, wondering if she'd make it in time.

When she emerged, damp hair clinging to her face, she urged, "Go and get ready, or you'll be late." Anvi, finally dragging herself out of bed, went to take her shower, leaving Shanvi to prepare in the room.

After a few moments, Anvi stepped out of the bathroom, towel wrapped around her hair, when she spotted Shanvi already dressed. Her eyes narrowed at the sight. Shanvi was standing there in a simple outfit, looking unsure but hopeful. Anvi couldn't help but blurt out, "Is that what you're wearing? Are you going to your first day like that?" Her tone wasn't harsh, but it was laced with concern.

Shanvi's look:

Shanvi glanced down at her clothes. "What's wrong with it? Am I not looking good?" Her voice was small, uncertainty creeping in.

Anvi's gaze traveled from head to toe, evaluating the simplicity of the outfit. "You're looking... okay, but you can't go to your first day of work like this!" She was eyeing Shanvi as if she was trying to solve a puzzle. "You're really planning to go looking like this?" Anvi exclaimed, her eyes wide in disbelief. "What kind of impression do you think that'll make? You need to wear something that'll leave a good impression."

Shanvi, feeling slightly embarrassed, nervously tugged at the hem of her outfit. "I thought this was okay," she murmured softly, her confidence wavering under Anvi's sharp scrutiny.
