It's been two weeks since Calum came over and had dinner with my family. We've only seen each other three other times at that was for a couple hours when we would meet up at parks to "practice". Calum called me this morning and asked if we could go on a date tonight but I haven't decided if I'll go. I don't know if I want to get his complicated with him. sure, I like him, a lot. But is it worth lying to everyone over? My mom, brother, matty- poor matty. I haven't called her still. I have no idea what's going on in her life. She may have her own boyfriend to worry about.

I slide off my bed and grab my phone that was settled on the side table. Should I text Calum? What if he gets mad at me. I would hate for him to get mad at me.
Scrolling through my contacts I find his profile. the picture I chose for him is a selfie we took together one night when he snuck into my room for a few hours. I'm wearing his hoodie and his hair is going wild in every direction from my constant fingers running through it. He has the biggest grin on his face as I lean into his side and smile up at the camera. We look so happy. If you were to see this you would think we were a normal couple, not one developing their love life in secret and sneaking around to spend precious minutes together. I'm going to call him and get it over with. Multiple rings echo as I wait for his answer.

"Baby! So glad you called me. Was just bout to call you, actually." His loud peppy voice puts a smile on my face.

"Hey calum, I don't know if we should go on this date tonight-"

"No no no no. hailey, we're going on this date whether you want to or not. I know you'll have fun. Please, if you want to leave after an hour I'll take you back home and you never have to talk to me again. Although I really hope you do still talk to me." He giggles and I can just picture the blush that takes over his face.

"Okay, as long as you promise it will be fun." I hesitantly say.

"Yay! Thank you baby. Can't wait to see you. I'll be there in like two hours. Is that good?"

"Yeah, sounds great."

Calum called me three hours ago and he still isn't here. If he doesn't show I swear I'll end it all right now. My phone vibrates in my hand and the screen lights up, signaling a new message. I smile at the name he entered for himself a few days ago. We were joking about his thug life and he insisted I only call him c dawg from now on.

"C dawg- in ur drive way ;)"

I stand quickly off the couch and head out the door.

-

"So... how was your day, baby?" Calum questions as he drives with one hand on the wheel and the other on my thigh. He still hasn't told me where we're going.

"Well, I went for a run this morning, then you called later, then you showed up late..." I poke fun at his bad timing and rub my hand across the top of his.

"Hey now, don't make fun of me. I lost track of time. Was busy watching football."

"Mmm. Nice to know football is better that being with me. I feel loved." i jokingly say as I turn my head and look out the window.

Calum chuckles as his grip on my hand tightens and he controls the car down the road. Minutes pass and silence fills the car when Calum suddenly turns to me.

"Would you... never mind."

Confusion fills my head as Calum leaves this unsolved question in my head and continues our journey towards our date.

"What is it, Calum?" I turn my body towards him to give him my full attention.

"I was just wondering- you don't have to- but, I wanted to know if you would want to meet my parents." His question leaves me flustered at the thought of letting them meet a 17 year old who their 25 year old son happens to be seeing.
