[INTRO:] There's something child-like in my Heart

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16TH, 14:30. A.U. MOVE-IN DAY.

The moment he has been waiting for since before he can remember has finally come. A time of learning about who you are, and of the world; a place where you meet future lifelong friends; romance and heartbreak is inevitable when living amongst a community of others like you and it's time to push your limits as youths. Kwon Sooyoung's first day of his college life starts now.

Well... it kind of started a year ago. But there's no shame in deferring a year to take some general ED classes for a much better price at a community college.

"Soonyoung, stop spacing out and give these people your school number so you can get your key."

With two heavy duffle bags hanging over both his shoulders and a suitcase in hand, Soonyoung waddles over to his sister waiting at one of the "Moving In?" tents. Their parents had to stay behind for work, so Soonyoung's older sister is helping him move into the dorms at Attacca University. Luckily she doesn't mind and is excited for her brother, happy she gets to be there with him on this big day.

"You remember your school ID number?"

Sooyoung scoffs, "Of course. 476264423."

Do I know my ID number–Of COURSE I know my ID number! It's only my identity at school–no, at college~

Soonyoung sighs heavenly, but is abruptly woken up to several jabs at his shoulder.

"Soo-soo, grab your key already there's a line waiting behind us."

The "new" college student does as he's told, then the siblings walk past the tent and to the big building Soonyoung recognizes as the freshman dorm. Nerves kicking in tenfold, he fixates on reading over his dorm number over and over again. Floor five room twenty six, floor five room twenty six, floor five room twenty six... Sooyoung has been excruciatingly curious about who his new roommates will be. He only knows their names yet has been thinking about them non stop the entire summer. Now, they are finally going to meet. The student looks around at the many others like him and wonders if any of them may by chance be one of his new roommates.

The pair decides to take the stairs because, even though the dorm is huge, the elevators are heavily occupied and not worth the wait for what they're carrying. So, they trek the big bags, up to the fifth floor and down the hall to the twenty sixth room.

Sooyoung opens the door to an open room with three beds hugging their own wall and a sink and mirror along with a door leading to the bathroom on the fourth. A tall, thin, brown haired boy stares from his bed at Sooyoung with one of the biggest smiles Sooyoung has ever seen and stars in his eyes. "Hi! Are you... Kwan Soonyoung?"

The boy bows at his name and smiles nervously, "Yeah, that's me, but my friends call me Hoshi. And you are...?"

"Wanna take a guess?"

Soonyoung thinks, ultimately deciding to just go with the first name that pops up in his head, "...Boo Seungkwan?"

The boy looks like he's about to explode with joy and grabs Hoshi's hands, "Wrong! I'm Lee Seokmin, but my friends call me Dokyeom, or DK for short. Either is fine with me."

Hoshi finds DK's smile contagious, and can't help but smile back at him when he looks into those sweet dark eyes.

The older sister drops her brother's bags next to a nearby empty bed by the window. "Oh wow, you can see the shore of the island from here! The idea of a college campus taking up an entire island will never not be a bizarre concept, though..." The elder sister goes on, but Hoshi is looking out too, falling into a daze as he stares at the ocean, scenarios of late night bonfires filtering through his mind.
