The night didn't end after the concert. Collin suggested hitting the club, and I would have been down for it if it weren't for Parker.
"I don't think that's a good idea. We really shouldn't be around alcohol." I said while glancing at Parker.
"Oh, come on! You've never been concerned about alcohol before. What changed?" Collin asked.
"Parker." I thought to myself. "Parker has a drinking problem. The last thing he needs is to be surrounded by alcohol."
I didn't say anything. All I could do was shrug my shoulders. I didn't want to embarrass Parker in front of everyone by talking about his drinking problem. But everyone already knew anyway. But still, I kept my mouth shut.
"We're not old enough to drink anyway. Liam only managed to get a drink because the bartender didn't ID him. But the bartenders at the club are different. We will be fine." Collin assured me.
I looked over at Liam. His eyes were half closed as he stared at me. He didn't look blackout drunk, thankfully. But he was definitely buzzed.
"Actually, Molly and I are gonna head home. You guys have fun." Austin said.
We all said goodnight to them and Austin escorted Molly out of the venue.
"Sooo, what do you say, Winter? You coming?" Collin asked me, his voice full of hope.
I was quiet for a few seconds before going against my better judgement. I nodded in agreement and the group breathed a sigh of relief.
Me, Wyatt, Viktor, Chris, Parker, Megan, Collin, Madison, and Liam. This was everyone who was going to the club. I rode with Wyatt, Liam rode with Parker and Megan, Collin with Madison, and Chris and Viktor took their own cars.
From the outside, the club didn't look all that special. There wasn't a line of people waiting to be let in. There wasn't a bouncer that stood outside guarding the entrance. But inside was another story. Strobe lights lit up the dance floor and it was crowded as all get out. The building was two stories and each floor was filled with people. Even the bar was crowded.
I was nervous. I was never a party person. I preferred to stay home and watch movies all night and curl up in bed. But maybe it's time to finally get out of my comfort zone. We all crowded into a single dirty booth with a table in the middle. On the table was a metal bucket I assumed was used to hold a bottle of alcohol that club goers would order.
"Now what?" I yelled out over the loud music.
"We dance!" Chris responded.
He was sitting at the edge of the booth seat and got up to join the crowd on the dance floor. Collin, Madison, and Viktor joined him. I anxiously bit my lip and my eyes darted around the group. Parker and Megan were still watching the crowd. Wyatt looked as nervous as I was, and Liam...where was Liam? I looked at the dance floor and saw Liam strolling towards it before disappearing into the crowd. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. I was hoping he would stay close while we were here.
"I'm going to get a soda." Wyatt said loudly.
I nodded and slid out of the booth so I could follow him. Once we got our sodas, we leaned against the bar and continued to watch the crowd. The smell of weed, alcohol, and sweat filled my nose and it reminded me of our concerts. I saw Chris and Viktor's heads bob around as they danced. Collin and Maddie were nowhere to be found. Liam's red and black jacket suddenly came into view, and I watched in disgust as some girl with horrible hair highlights grinded against him.
He had his hands on her hips and danced awkwardly as she continued to rub herself on him. I felt my face heat up and my heart began to race. What was he doing? I turned away to stop myself from watching. I bet he was enjoying it. Why was I getting so worked up? It's not like he was my boyfriend or anything. My face still felt hot as I chugged my soda and crushed the can with my hand.
