A smile appears on Von's lips after making the winning move against his opponent on the chess board. He projects a boastful look to Eros sitting across of him—aiming to get a reaction out of the boy.
"I told you we should've played billiards instead"He said, putting his elbows on the table; clasping his hands together.
"Doesn't change you winning against me, does it?"Eros slightly rolled his eyes to his words.
Von rose up from the chair and paced to the pool table in the middle of the family hall. "What made you say so?"He picks up two wooden cues'. "I didn't know you were such a pessimist"Von joked as he hands him one of them.
Eliciting a sigh to his remark, Eros took it and stood up from the chess table. He walked to the pool and held the edge of the table with both of his hands. His eyes remained looking at Von who invited him to come over to his home after both of their partners' left Cienero Suites.
"Fun fact, I wasn't being pessimistic"He stated. "It happens you have an edge on both activities, especially in chess"
"I still don't get why you don't play competitively with it 'til this day"Eros mentioned that made Von chuckle.
"You're exceptional in polo but you never competed competitively with it"He retorted. "That makes us the same"
Ever since earlier, Eros noticed the light demeanor Von has possessed. His whole silent glum mood when they were at their grandparents' estate took a whole turn during their time at the apartment complex. Undeniably, Von has a sense of playfulness with his personality, but there was a slight difference Eros could tell about his current mood.
"I'm quite confused with your relationship.."Eros said, taking his hands off the table.
"My relationship with who?"Von says confusedly.
"With Nari"Hearing her name mentioned by Eros, he observed him hold the wooden cue with both hands. "From what I recall, you were her suitor.. everything was going well.. but suddenly you turned into strangers"
"Basing from the information I know, you're not exes but more of an almost"Eros explained. "Which is why I'm confused.."
"I remember your past messages to me thinking your efforts are all worth it... Which is why I'm wondering what went wrong because you never really told me about it.."
He looks at Von—waiting for him to possibly share the answer to the unresolved question he has. The boy reacted with a short laugh, putting on a faint smile on his lips.
"It just happened that I stopped, that's all"He shrugged.
"You stopped?"Eros's brow raised. "That's unexpected.. you were so smitten by her existence, everything you chatted to me was related to Nari"
