Chapter 25

Jeongyeon hasn't seen Nayeon for a couple of days already. The last time she saw her was last Sunday, it was the time to end the event. Jeongyeon keeps avoiding her as she saw that Park Jinyoung was always following her.

She doesn't care. But seeing Nayeon and that guy making headlines on the social media did broke Jeongyeon's heart.

"Hey, you're reading about them again" Sana took Jeongyeon's phone from her hand and Jeongyeon was too tired to even fight to take her phone back. She just watches how Sana frown while strolling through her phone.

"Nayeon and Jinyoung endgame? My ass" Sana said trying to lift the atmosphere a little bit but Jeongyeon just stood up and went inside to her room. She lays back on her bed as she let her thoughts wander.

"I like you"

Jeongyeon covered her face as she remembers the girl's face when she said those words. It felt so real. Jeongyeon sat up and wonders if what she had done was right. Avoiding Nayeon hurts her so much, but she doesn't want to create a scandal since it might affect Nayeon's career. 

She noticed how the girl would steal some glances on her, but Jeongyeon just acts like nothing is happening. Whenever she saw Nayeon coming on her direction, she tries her best to avoid her as much as she can.

"She likes somebody else, and she felt guilty about it. I know she's straight" Jeongyeon murmurs, her door swungs open revealing Sana sneakily looking inside. Jeongyeon rolled her eye before gesturing Sana to sit beside her.

"Yoo, it's been days since you last left this place" Sana worriedly said making Jeongyeon realized that it's been 4 days since the last time she got out, and it was the day which Nayeon ended the event. Jeongyeon breathes out thinking how she let herself rot, she asked Sana if she want to go somewhere. Upon hearing that, Sana's smiled from ear to ear and squealed.

"Yes! I've been wanting to go to our comfort place" Jeongyeon smiled as she looked how Sana jumps excitedly. She felt a rush of guilt as Sana has always been with her since last Friday. She decided she will treat her for a cup of coffee today.

As they arrived at the place, they immediately went to the seashore to take a small walk. Jeongyeon breathed in the fresh air as she watched the waves slowly approaching the shore. She felt calmer but at the same time her heart aches reminiscing that time when Nayeon and Jihyo was with them.

"Care to share?" Jeongyeon blinked before looking at Sana. 

"I don't really know" Jeongyeon bit her lower lip as Sana nod. They we're walking side by side not talking to each other, just feeling the air touching their skin and the noise from the sea and people around them can be heard. Them being quiet doesn't feel awkward at all.

"We're here" Sana said pointing at the cafe where they usually stay for a cup of coffee. Again, Jeongyeon felt a wave of memories flashing on her mind. She remembers how beautiful Nayeon was when she entered the cafe the last time she came here. She hopes she would see Nayeon inside.

Jeongyeon sighed at her thought. There's no chance she will be seeing her. She pushed the door and when she went inside, her eyes immediately darted at the girl sitting close to the counter.

Of all the people, Nayeon is there sitting with a cup of coffee on her palm. Jeongyeon wanted to leave the place, but Nayeon looked at her direction. Shocked can be seen on her face.

"Jeong" Jeongyeon shifted her gaze towards Sana. She walked pass her and immediately sat on the chair near the window where her back faces are facing towards Nayeon.
