THERESE'S POV
"Pinapabigay ni Xavier."
I stopped midway scooping the food on my plate. I looked up to see Stephanie who's standing on the other side of the table. She's holding a piece of paper.
"What's that?" I raised my eyebrow.
"I don't know. Kunin mo na sa kamay ko, nangangawit na 'yong tao rito."
I rolled my eyes and then grabbed the piece of paper. It's a note from Xavier. I read it:
Lola wants to go shopping with you on Sunday. Sorry, can't text you wala kasi akong load kaya I'm writing this note. Hope you're eating a proper meal.
"Ano 'yan, love letter?" nakangising paguusisa ni Stephanie as she sat down in front of me.
"Clearly, it's a fucking note." I fold it and put it inside the pocket of my skirt. "Get lost. You're ruining my appetite." Pagtataboy ko rito.
"Sayang, may ichi-chismis sana ako sa 'yo." She shrugged.
"Not interested and I'm not going to spend a penny for that." I continued my meal.
Class started three weeks ago and I'm starting to get busy. The school gave us tons of workloads and they're draining the shit out of me. I couldn't eat proper food lately as I'm doing assignments, laboratory work and we've started with our research.
Most of the time, Madam Eula would give me lutong-bahay food through Xavier. Xavier, on the other are busy too. Imagine my surprise when I found out he's a good student and there's a possibility that he can achieve high honor this school year.
I really thought he's a slacker and he always sleeps at class. It turned out I was wrong. My judgement was entirely based on what I've seen on the surface.
"I bet you know him." She put her hands on her chin, leaning towards me. "Andrew."
That bastard. I wouldn't forget him. He's one of the reasons why I have so much scars growing up, physically and mentally.
Ill memories flooded my mind. I can't forget how he cut my hair, stabbed me with a pencil and almost killed me with a plastic bag. My hand gripped the spoon hard. That fucking bastard, I want to fucking ruin him.
"I hope he dies when he steps foot at the school." Walang emosyon na sabi ni Stephanie.
I frowned. I may not know what's the history between them but one thing I'm certain, we have one thing in common and that we want Andrew to suffer.
"You should ruin him," I suggested. "It's your turf."
"I will, Therese. Hindi mo na kailangang sabihin pa."
"Let me know if you need me, I'll give you a hand." I smirked.
General Physics is our last subject and the instructor is running late. Teacher Jacob, the one who loves to harass and brag that he failed students is our last subject instructor. The room is filled with the annoying voices of my classmates; most of the boys at the back are shouting while playing online games, some are playing cards with a bet and girls are laughing so loud.
"Be, bibili ako meryenda sa labas papasabay ka?"
"Hindi riyan, pre! Sunod ka lang sa likod ko."
"Sana wala siya ngayon dahil ayoko makita pangmumukha niya. Nasusura ako."
"Ang tagal naman ng baklang 'yon dumating. Kapag siya late ayos lang, pero kapag tayo akala mo naman nawalan ng pera kung magalit."
I second the motion. When a student is late, kulang na lang ibaliktad niya ang classroom dahil sa galit pero kapag siya na ang late without prior notice everything is flower and candy.
