Note: I know it's the middle of summer, but, just like every year, I suddenly got into the Christmas spirit. So, I decided to write this story. Enjoy!

The girl stood in front of a huge house, debating whether she should ring the bell or not. After all, it was already 10 pm. Her cheeks flushed pink from the chilly winter air, and her breath formed delicate, fleeting clouds that dissolved into the clear, icy sky. She closed her eyes for a moment, savouring the coolness that tingled her nose and throat.
The cold air was a sharp contrast to the warmth of her scarf and coat, wrapping her in a blend of sensations that only a winter's day could offer. Her eyelashes, dusted with tiny crystals of frost, fluttered slightly as she took another deep breath.
"Okay, here we go," she spoke to herself, before finally ringing the bell. A shrill sound was heard from inside the house. Then the woman made out footsteps of someone shuffling towards the door. Shortly after, it was opened by a tall man, wearing blue checked pj-pants and a loose t-shirt, that had the same colour as his hair.
A smile formed on the brunette's face, as she saw the man. "Hello, Satoru." Her voice was nearly a whisper, quiet like the snow that was falling from the night sky.
Gojo Satoru's eyes widened as he realized who was standing in front of him. "Isabelle!" he called out, a huge grin plastered on his face. Stepping out into the cold he wrapped the girl, who was a head shorter than him, in a tight hug.
"I missed you," he told her, still keeping her close.
"Missed you too," Isabelle murmured into his chest. She closed her eyes, inhaling the man's intoxicating scent - a mix of musk and sandalwood. God, how she had missed this smell.
A few moments later the man peeled himself off her, looking her up and down. "You've grown," he stated. The typical line relatives used after not seeing a kid in a while. "Yeah," she replied, not knowing what else to say.
There was a moment of silence before Gojo offered her to come inside. "Get in, or you'll be a snow statue by tomorrow." Isabelle stepped inside, warmth enveloping her, as she took off her boots, scarf and jacket.
Walking into the kitchen she saw Satoru, who stood at the stove, preparing some tea for the both of them. She dropped onto the couch, waiting for the white-haired man to join her.
"So, how's university?" he asked, looking away from the boiling water to meet her gaze.
"Awesome!" she spoke enthusiastically with a big smile on her face. It was her second year of studying literature, abroad in England and she absolutely loved it. "We're currently learning about Homer and his works. You know how much I love Greek mythology, so this is really interesting. Did you know that some say he was blind? Apparently, this idea is based on a character named Demodocus in the "Odyssey." Demodocus is a blind poet and might be a reflection of Homer himself," the woman continued, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Satoru let out a soft chuckle at her enthusiasm. "I'm glad you like it, but you should visit more often. I haven't seen you in a year. You didn't even come home over summer break!" he pouted like a child.
That was true, she hadn't been home in a while. But she just wasn't ready to see him. She needed the time to sort her thoughts and get over her feelings for him. However, now that she faced him she realized it had all been for nothing. There was no way she could get rid of these stupid feelings. It was frustrating.
"Sorry, I've been really busy, with my studies. I can't just take a random trip home, during the semester. And you know that I was on vacation in Italy during the summer. Plus, you are the rich one, you could've come and visited me yourself."
