They would all try to find a way back to the 1970s before they give up and decide to try to live in our modern world. Since the world is pretty bad right now, they can't immediately leave modern America because of heavy ass inflation, war, or the lack of up-to-date passports.
Scout: So, turns out his bloodline is no more and he died of unknown causes. He'd live with Soldier and his descendants in Washington until he figures out how to get his life together, which is much, much harder than he anticipated. He takes a job as a fast food cashier, which he gets fired from because he yelled at a Karen. Then he would take a job at a Denny's within walking distance as a cook, which he does better in. He gave up trying to keep up with modern trends and slang, since he finds them pretty stupid anyway.
Medic: He'd be on the run for multiple charges of mutilation and assault. Turns out he can't sell the organs he kept on freeze for 50 years without someone complaining about where the hell they came from. Yeah, he'd run to Canada under a new identity to track down the descendants of his doves because he knows damn well he wouldn't reproduce with anyone. Turns out he's somehow still alive through the power of souls and Satan and lives with the modern, slightly older, version of himself and Archimedes. He now plans to steal the souls of those in Canada alongside Modern Medic, which has been successful thus far. US politics doesn't affect him, but he doesn't like anyone in the government.
Demoman: At first he decided live with Soldier's family in Washington. He somehow has his alcohol magic, so he's mostly okay with alcohol. He takes up a job in demolition and, within a few months, runs a firework and explosives business with Pyro, who is surprisingly good with financing and advertisement. He mostly does the demonstrations and the experimenting, which he finds fulfillment in. In his spare time, he likes to watch YouTube, more specifically the hydraulic press videos and explanations on scientific phenomena. His worst enemy is probably laundry detergent.
Soldier: His older self died from lead poisoning a little bit after he had kids, which left Zhanna to raise them on her own. He reunites with a much older Zhanna, who is very much pleased with his return. They both help take care of their grandchildren and each other in Washington. Both of his children grew up to be a doctor and an astronaut. He participates in protests when he's not working or taking care of his grandkids, although oftentimes he doesn't know what he's protesting, which leaves the public in awe and confusion.
Spy: "Nope." and none of the mercs has seen him since. Turns out he's been assassinating people for fifteen thousand US dollars each, which looks to be pretty sought after. He does try to make sure through newly established connections that Scout is doing okay.
Pyro: On impulse, he buys a small store and some pyrotechnics after stealing from a jewelry store and setting it on fire. Nobody suspects it's him. Within a few months, he partners up with Demoman and the store is successful. He's even the host of a large firework party in New York for New Year's. Nobody knows whether or not Demoman and Pyro make their own fireworks or where the ingredients come from. He very much satiates his pyromania every day.
Sniper: Squatting in the mercenary's old base in New Mexico with Heavy. Teufort is a ghost town, so they don't really have anything super reliable. He does eventually leave and, through some random shenanigans, starts a podcast and stars in a video regarding gun safety to elementary schoolers. He mainly works as a truck driver. He hopes to make enough money through other means (the podcast and commissions) to freely travel on his own schedule without the need of being a truck driver.
Heavy: Stayed at the old base for a few months longer than Sniper. He can't go back to Russia, so he decides to look for Medic. He's currently on Medic's trail in Canada and probably getting closer. He works odd jobs to make enough money to stay in motels. He's also been dismantling hidden cameras in motels and making it impossible for owners to put new cameras back in their hiding places.
Engineer: He works in the military as an engineer. He also steals documents from the military with no thought of selling or returning them, but that's not important. He hasn't been caught yet. He bumps around the branches a lot depending on which one needs him most. He doesn't like his new colleagues as much as his old ones, but he tries not to lose his temper with them. He's also not sharing any of his actual blueprints with any of the branches, he paid to give botched ones that would not work at all when they're built because why should he give away his secrets? He's still considered a miracle man to this day as he is considered the only one competent enough to make his turrets. If he gets found out, he's going to take the money and RUN.
