Chapter One

"GET AWAY FROM MEE!!!"

I yelled internally as I looked at myself and my boyfriend in the mirror.

"You look gorgeous baby. I can't believe it has been 3 years already." Jay looked at me in awe.

"Me too, baby. Me too." I replied, feeling nauseous.

We were the last two remaining at a boutique. I was looking for a dress I could wear so I can be presentable for Jay's celebratory dinner tomorrow evening. Jay landed a deal that would change his life for the better. He has been working on his plumbing business for a while now, and now his dreams are now at reach.

Me? Well, my dreams are shattered. I did that to myself. If only I did the right thing for me, I wouldn't be here. Everything that had happened to me was because I caused it. So whatever is happening now is because I let it happen. I wish I didn't. I owe myself a lot.

"Baby, I have to go and check the restaurant. I need to make sure everything is in order. I should be back by 9pm. Would you like me to come with food or will you cook?" Jay asked me while typing on his phone.

"I don't think I'll cook tonight, babe. Please do come with food." I replied, feeling exhausted already.

"Alright. Let me drop you off."

"No baby, it's okay. I'll request a cab. I still haven't found a dress I like."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, love, I'm certain. Now please go to the restaurant. I'll be home when you come back."

"Okay baby, let me get going. Love you." He said as he kissed me on my cheek and jogged out the boutique.

"Love you too," I mumbled while looking down at my dress, feeling the silk fabric.

The shop assistant looked at me and said, "He must really love you, girl. That was such a cute interaction."

I looked at the young woman. Lord sure knows how to make them.

"Yea, he really does... Uhm can you please help me with finding a dress Sky. I need to look good for my baby." I said, looking at her intensely.

She is 5'9 and she has eyes to die for.  She has a very slim figure. Her skin looks so smooth. She is actually very handsome. I could go on and on...

"Yea, I do have 6 dresses I think you would like. They are in the back. Care to follow me?" She replied, looked back at me with those eyes. Ahh

"Yes, let me put my handbag on this.."

"No. Let me put it behind the counter. No one will touch it there, ma." She said, walking towards me, still keeping eye contact with me. She took the bag while slightly touching my hands. I let out a shaky breath. Quickly, looked down at my feet. She chuckled and put my bag behind the counter.

She then checked the whole place for more customers. When she saw that no-one was here besides us, she walked towards the door and put up a "closed" sign. She locked the door and walked back towards me.

"Come here..."

Hello friends. This is my first book ever.
Yaayyy to me. I really love reading books and writing one seemed like a challenge I wanted to indulge myself in.

English isn't my first language. However, it is a language I normally communicate in. I would love it if you pointed out any mistakes I make in this book. I really enjoy learning, and I hope you will all help me make this book a better reading experience for everybody (not pertaining to the plot people😂😂. Just typos👍)

I'll be updating once a month or whenever I have time on my hands.
