Woozi and Dino's relationship wasn't exactly like most others, and it wasn't about the clichéd "forever love" trope. Instead, they were pretty much unconventional boyfriends. They rarely touched for more than a few seconds or forced contact, displaying a pride and stubbornness towards each other that set them apart from typical affectionate couples. Their bond was marked by a quiet normalcy, often appearing distant, like they were merely friends or even coworkers. They cherished their time together without externally being infatuated by each other, their shyness still evident even after months of dating. This mutual self-containment, though weird, was their unique way of living and navigating through their love. They were comfortable in their own skin, fully aware that their love didn't need to follow conventional norms.

This time, Woozi had invited some members over to his house—though it was more accurate to say they had invited themselves—and naturally, Dino had joined in on the sly. With the guest rooms and sofas in the living room, there should have been enough space for all the self-invited guests to sleep comfortably. But for Dino, it wasn't enough at all.

Once everyone was in bed and the lights were turned off, he quietly left the guest room. Moving slowly, he entered Woozi's room, assuming that the darkness meant he was already completely asleep.

Woozi was, not in fact, asleep. Still wide awake, he lay sprawled across the king-sized bed, his gaze set on the ceiling. The silence was thick, disrupted only by the soft hum of the air conditioner. Suddenly, the creak of the door opening grabbed his attention, so he jerked up, his eyes immediately locking onto a familiar figure standing in the doorway. Dino.

"You are supposed to be sleeping" He complained, his voice low and gruff, betraying a hint of curiosity.

Dino was startled by Woozi's voice. For a moment, he considered going back, but instead, he decided to stay, trying to act casual. "Oh. I thought you were asleep"

The producer pushed himself up into a sitting position, the fresh sheets pooling around his hips. His eyes were sharp in the dark, studying the youngest with a slight frown. "Obviously not" He said bluntly, gesturing to his own awake state. He leaned back against the headboard, waiting for an explanation. "Why are you here, anyway?"

Dino felt a wave of embarrassment, but he pushed it aside, knowing that acknowledging it would only make it worse and visible. He took a quick breath and slowly approached the bed, his steps measured and hesitant. He carefully leaned closer without offering any explanation, quietly laying down on it.

Of course, Woozi sensed the shy tension in the room. He didn’t press for more answers, instead turning on the bed lamp and picking up his phone to calm his stupid shy heart. Yes, it was clear to both of them: Dino just wanted to sleep beside him, though he wouldn’t admit it out loud, and Woozi wouldn't push the matter and embarrass both of them.

For a mere moment, his eyes flicked over to the younger as he settled into the bed, a silent understanding passing between them. Despite the lack of words, they both knew what the other was thinking. With a subtle shyness, he turned his gaze back to his phone, seemingly immersed in whatever was on the screen. The room was now illuminated in a soft, warm light, creating a cozy atmosphere.

"You are taking up too much space" Woozi commented, his tone light but tinged with fatigue. The sarcasm was evident, considering Dino was keeping to the very edge of the bed, practically about to fall off by how much he kept his distance.

The dancer fidgeted with the sheets, barely inching closer. "Aren't you going to sleep?"

"Soon" The vocalist replied, still not breaking his gaze from his phone. He could feel the slight tension between them, making the air heavy with a combination of anticipation and also a hint of their usual stubborn resistance. Neither ever wanted to give in, and today wasn't any different—though he could give himself a bit of recognition for being the one to break the ice multiple times.
