The Demon King Reincarnated Bride

CHAPTER 4

RONAN  POV

Ever since I was little I had only known one thing and that is the world is unfair, because I was abandoned by my parents in the middle of a forest luckily I was found and taken in by a nice old lady who died seven years later.

And since then I swore to live for myself to survive in this world. One say I decided to sneak into the palace to borrow some food.

Sneaking in was easy because as a demon we can use all elements of magic but we are more efficient in dark magic, which involved shadow, poison, stealth and death but only th royals could use death .

So sneaking in was easy but who would have thought that I would be caught by one of the maids but I would never let that stop me so I ran but the dumb maid actually chased after me.

"You thief how dare you steal from the royal kitchen". The maid said while running after me .

"I am not stealing  I said I would return it". I said while running faster.

"You useless brat you are a thief, how are you going to return it after you have eaten it". The maid said still chasing me.

"I'm not ". I said trying to defend myself even though I knew I was in the wrong.

"What are you doing in my private garden". A boy who looked around my age with crimson eyes and black hair and fair skin who would look like an angel if he didn't look both angry and amused.

That is when I realized I was in the a very beautiful garden, but i don't have time to look at the garden , by the way he is dressed he looks rich . I thought as i ran and hid behind the boy's back.

"Please save me she wants to kill me just beacause I borrowed an apple from the royal kitchen, I promise I would return it". I said as I stuck my tongue out at the maid which made her angry..

"You may leave". The boy said as he stared coldly at the maid.

"But your highness i- ". The maid tried to explain but the boy only stared at the maid and said.

"I guess I wasn't clear enough or do you dare to disobey the crown prince". The boy said and I couldn't help but feel a little suffocated like I was being crushed and in the next second the maid ran away like her as was on fire.

"What is your name". the boy asked as I sat down on the grass while eating the apple.

"Ronan" I replied while taking my last bite of the apple. "What is your name ". I asked the boy.

"My name is Edwin Theodore Denil crown prince of the demon kingdom." The boy said.

Prince Edwin is he not the heartless prince that killed his mother at a young age although I don't believe in such gossip I mean why would he kill his own mother, well it's non of my business.

"So I will call you ed or eddy".  I said as I played on the very comfortable grass then the boy asked a weird question.

"Are you not scared of me " . The boy ed asked. I don't get why I should be scared of him I mean he looks around my age.

"Why should I be scared of you ed". I said while scratching my head.

You!!!, never mind well since you have interrupted my quiet time I will be leaving. He said as he headed for the exit. But I didn't want him to leave cause this is the first time someone has ever wanted to talk to me and he just protected me so I feel like me and him can be good friends.

"Waittt!!!, can we be friends ". I said which made me feel a little embarrassed because whenever I ask the kids in the village they would all refuse me.

"Ronan right?, from now on you and me are now friends ". The boy said which made me add smile because I finally have a friend.

Over the years me and ed had become closer and he even convinced the king to allow me to leave in the castle as his personal servant although he never once treated me like a servant, he wants told me who was behind the queen's murder and I was even a little surprised but my fear was that he wanted to avange his mother but I was scared he couldn't face his father alone.

So one day I went to the kings chambers to assassinate the king so that ed won't have to risk his life but I underestimated the king and just as I was about to kill him he woke up and beat me to the point where I could barely speak and just when I thought I was going to die ed showed up.

But there was something wrong about him as he used his powers I felt that soficating felling I felt years ago but it was ten times stronger and then ed pressed his hand on his father's chest and then killed him but when ed turned around he had two big wings on his back , black horns on his head, long sharp nails and bloodshot eyes.

"E-ed". I called out to him my voice laced with both fear and worry.

"I-m gl-ad you're ok". Ed said before passing out.

"ED ED ED!!!". I called out to him trying to wake him up. P-le-as-e ed wake up y-ou can't leave me ed wake up please ed wake up. I cried as I tried shaking, hitting and even pouring water on him but nothing worked.

Years has passed since that incident and ed has been asleep so I had to pretend to be him, until one day the royal doctor told me ed will wake up in the next blood moon.

So I decided to find ed a companion, someone who would keep him happy always and take care of him in ways I never could.

The next day I sent a letter to the human kingdom requesting a bride from one of the princesses and after waiting for a few days she finally arrived.

And even I was shocked I never knew someone this beautiful was actually related to that old asshole.  But she was very quiet and didn't ask any questions but sometimes her character really surprised me like once when she asked for a sword and armor or when she brought demon fox with her to the castle, but I never questioned her.

Until the day I have waited for for years, I decided to send her to ed's room do they could meet once he woke up and i want revenge for making me do all his royal duties while he just took a nap .
