Unexpected Change

Chapter 1: "Babysit?"

Hurried footsteps were heard on the other side as the door slammed open, revealing a panicked, panting Blaze as he held onto the doorframe for dear life.

Eyes quickly looked up and stared at him in confusion, some in annoyance, some not even bothering to stare, Blaze definitely just returned from a mission, no? "He looks exhausted," one of them commented to another in the room. Followed behind Blaze was Ais, he didn't look as exhausted...

Sensing the confused and curious stares, Ais spoke up, "Gem, Hali and Tau are kids. Got hit by a power spheres' beam and...." He glanced at Blaze, who still seemed to be catching his breath, before turning his head and body to the side and using his hand to point at the other side, Glacier stood up out of curiosity and peeked his head at where Ais was pointing...

There they were, a crying Taufan on the floor as he held onto a confused, slightly worried Gempa who seemed unsure of what to do, considering the awkward head pats and confused blinks,

And on the other side stood an annoyed Halilintar, cheeks all puffed out and glaring at the floor, arms at his side, Duri was near them, kneeling to be on the same level as the crying Taufan and seemingly trying to distract him,

Solar was there too, just standing a bit more far away talking to someone, perhaps a power sphere or something, Glacier wasn't sure. He couldn't see who Solar was talking too.

".....They look cute!" Someone commented in the room, which gained a few stares from a certain white and red fusion,

Glacier chose to ignore whoever said that, and turned to look at Ais who looked somewhat interested and amused at the sight of the three oldests who became kids, and was throwing a fuss(Taufan).

"So, what happened exactly? You only said they became kids and turned into... That, because of a power spheres' beam..."

Glacier wasn't able to finish his sentence before a harsh sound of someone being thrown to the wall was heard behind him, he turned around and saw what made the noise,

"Huh, Yaya and Gentar are still sparring?" Blaze spoke up after finally managing to compose himself again, now kneeling on the floor as he looks behind Glacier to take a peek at the two.

"....Can't believe they still had the energy to spar after their last mission together..." Ais quietly commented, being unheard by anyone other than Glacier and Blaze, whom were basically near him.

Blaze opened his mouth and seemed like he was going to agree before Gentar seemed to brush off the hard throw and immediately went back to trying to land a hit on Yaya, which seemed and would of been successful, had it not been for Yaya's quick reflexes.

"The two of them had been sparring since lunch actually," Glacier decided to feed into Blaze's curiosity a bit. After all, he seemed more interested in the way Gentar fights more often than Frostfire.

"Must be the favoritism of Gentar matching Blaze's energy a lot more than Frostfire does..." Glacier thought as he saw Blaze's exhausted eyes quickly disappeared and replaced with interest and excitement.

"Hah? Really? I didn't take Yaya for the type to actually be interested in sparring for once..." Blaze tried to mask his excitement, but Ais clearly knew him well enough to just shake his head at his twin brother's eyes of excitement.

"Unfortunately for you, we still have things to do, you know. We still haven't captured that power sphere.." At Ais' words, both of Blaze's eyebrows shot up and his body stiffened, which made Glacier confused, but he didn't question it. What use would it be to question something that's clearly between these two?
