ch-14 reality check

Author's pov

Zayan was staring at aadil angrily but he didn't utter a single word after aadil said him everything that happened with aafiya. And his silence was creeping out aadil.

Zayan loved his brothers alot but from few days,they are just making him furious. He knew they are trying to make up things with aafiya but at some point they are still lagging behind.

Zayan- didn't expected this from you Bhai. He said in his dangerous voice and aadil gulped.

Saad- why would you do that bhai? He asked calmly but his anger was visible on his face clearly while aadil stared at him in shock. Yeah, i heard everything, and I am nothing but disappointed.

Aadil- i-i am sorry, but i swear I didn't realise what I was speaking or how loud I was. He said on the verge of crying. He was just too numb and couldn't think of any idea of how to make up with his sister.

Zayan- kab tak, akhir kab tak aaplog meri behen ko pareshan karenge, phele wo Hamza tha phir aaplogon ne bhi apni asliyat dhikhana shuru kar diya. You guys didn't change after all. (For how long, for how long you guys will keep troubling my sister, first it was Hamza and now you all also started showing your true intentions)

He said with a sad yet angry tone making aadil heart tear apart. He knew that he made a mistake but his brother is now accusing him for the things he never did... Ok maybe he did a little bit it was all in the past, and now he is trying his best to become a true brother for his sister.

Aadil- she is my sister too zayan.

Saad- oh really, didn't seem like that though. He said with a scoff. When zayan told aadil about aafiya's breakdown he couldn't handle his harsh words but he knew that somehow now he have to meet aafiya and need to make sure she is ok.

Zayan- you brought it to yourself Bhaiyya. He said and went from there followed by Saad. Aadil quickly went to aafiya's room and got inside as the door was open.

She was sleeping comfortably and looked peaceful. He smiled at his inocent sister but soon the smile vanished remembering his mistake. He went to her and sat beside her. He started caressing her hair softly as some tears came in his eyes.

Aadil- i-i am sorry princess, i made a huge mistake and forgot how much you are scared of us. I know it was our mistake but your distanced behaviour is killing me and all of us alot,please forgive u-us. He whispered and in last his voice cracked as he was not able to control his sobs anymore.

He quickly went to his room and cried his heart out. It was the second time he is crying like this cause the first time was when aafiya left 9 years back. After an hour he fell asleep while crying.

Aaban's pov

It was 7:30 in the morning before breakfast and I am sitting in my office waiting for my brothers. Last night Saad came to my room and narrated me everything that happened between aafiya and aadil.

I was really furious on aadil after hearing what he did but then a question came to my mind, wasn't i doing that too? My thoughts got interrupted when I heard a knock. I gave permission and all my brothers came in one by one.

They looked like they were lost in their thoughts but what caught my attention was my youngest brother, Hamza. What is he doing here? He knows that when I call everyone then the discussion is about aafiya, then why is he here?

Aaban- no one called you here. I said looking at him blankly and he just looked at me softly.

Hamza- you called "all" your brothers bhaiyya.
