Radhika's pov

I stood in the corner, scrolling through my phone, lost in my own world. Suddenly, a colleague, Vishan, appeared beside me, his eyes fixed on me with an unsettling intensity. "Hey, what's up?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as Vishan's hand brushed against mine. I tried to move away, but he blocked my path. "Vishan, I'm busy," I said, trying to sound firm.

But Vishan just laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, come on. I just want to talk to you."

My heart raced as Vishan's hand touched my arm, his fingers tracing circles on my skin. I felt a wave of revulsion wash over me and tried to shake him off.

Just then, our colleagues walked in, and Vishan's demeanor changed in an instant. He stepped back, a look of innocence on his face. "She was trying to seduce me," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

My eyes widened in shock as my colleagues stared at me, their faces filled with disbelief and judgment. "No, that's not true!" I protested, my voice shaking.

But Vishan just smirked, his eyes glinting with triumph.

I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes as I realized the gravity of the situation. I knew I had to tell Rishi, my closest friend and confidant.

I rushed to his cabin, tears streaming down my face. "Rishi, you won't believe what just happened," I sobbed.

But to my surprise, Rishi's expression was cold and distant. "What's going on?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion.

I poured out my story, but Rishi's face only grew darker. "I don't know what to say," he said finally. "I need some time to think."

And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving me alone and heartbroken.

I couldn't understand why Rishi didn't believe me. Hadn't we been friends for so long? Didn't he trust me?

As I walked out of the office, I felt like my world was crumbling around me. I knew I had to clear my name, but how?

....

Author's pov

Radhika walked into the office, expecting a normal day. But as she made her way to her desk, she noticed Rishi avoiding eye contact with her. She thought maybe he was just busy, but as the day went on, she realized he was actively ignoring her.

Radhika tried to talk to him, but he would just grunt in response. She asked him if everything was okay, but he just shook his head and walked away.

Radhika was confused and hurt. What had she done wrong? Hadn't they been friends for so long?

Radhika tried to brush it off, thinking maybe he was just having a bad day. But as the days went by, Rishi's behavior continued. He would sit on the other side of the room, avoiding her at all costs.

Radhika felt like she was losing her him , and she didn't know why. She tried to talk to him again, but he just shut her down.

"Rishi, please tell me what's going on," Radhika said, her voice shaking. "I thought we were friends."

Rishi just looked at her, his eyes cold and distant. "I need space, okay?" he said, before turning and walking away.

Radhika was devastated. What had she done to deserve this treatment? She felt like she was walking on eggshells, never knowing what would set Rishi off.

As the days turned into weeks, Radhika started to feel like she was losing herself. She didn't know how to deal with Rishi's rejection.

Radhika tried to focus on her work, but even that seemed pointless. She felt like she was just going through the motions, waiting for Rishi to come back to her.

....

Radhika had had enough of Rishi's cold shoulder. She couldn't take the pain of his rejection anymore. So, she decided to do the same - avoid him.

She started sitting on the other side of the office, away from Rishi's prying eyes. She would avoid meetings where she knew he would be present. She even stopped going to the break room, fearing she might run into him.

Radhika thought that avoiding Rishi would ease her pain, but it only seemed to intensify it. She couldn't concentrate on her work, and her mind kept wandering to Rishi. She wondered what she had done wrong, and why he was treating her like this.

As the days went by, Radhika and Rishi became like two ships passing in the night. They would see each other, but never acknowledge each other's presence. The tension between them was palpable, and their colleagues started to notice.

Radhika knew she couldn't keep avoiding Rishi forever. She needed to confront him, to know what was going on. But she was scared - scared of his rejection, scared of his anger. So, she continued to avoid him, hoping that someday, things would go back to normal.
