Deathnote
November 26, 2003

As the teacher continues lecturing, you subtly keep an eye on the Death Note, watching as it lands outside the window near the boy you've been observing – Light Yagami.

He is sitting in a classroom, boringly listening to the lecture, when, he notice something out of the corner of his eye. A shadow passes over the window, and before he know it, a mysterious object drops from the sky, gliding down towards the ground.

'What was that?'

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" You heard ryuk whispers in your ears as you hide my smile.

You nods imperceptibly, maintaining your facade of attentiveness during the lecture. "Just a little."

"I've never thought you would give away the death note in this way" he raised un eyebrow as you continue to 'listen' to the lecture.

"I've been bored.." You hummed. "It's been boring lately, i thought it would be interesting to give it to someone more interesting, Ryuk" you whispered back as you look at the boy you've been planning this for.

'Now, all I had to do was wait and watch.'

The bell rings, signaling the end of class. Students start filing out, oblivious to the game of cat and mouse about to unfold.

Light slowly approached the notebook that fell down, he could see that it was a small, leather-bound notebook.

He picked it up and looks around cautiously before opening the notebook fully. His eyes widen as he reads the words 'DEATH NOTE' on the first page, followed by rules written in English. He flips through the pages, seeing the empty spaces waiting to be filled.

You continued to observe Light from afar, your eyes gleaming with anticipation. Ryuk, standing beside you, seemed amused by what is happening

"You're playing a dangerous game, Y/N" Ryuk commented, his voice barely above a whisper. "Are you sure you want to involve this human in your affairs?"

You shrugged nonchalantly, keeping your eyes fixed on Light as you begin to walked toward him while signaling Ryuk to hide away.

"Is that yours?" You asked him as he saw you approached him from behind while he's flipping through the notebook.

Light quickly put on a smile as he recognized you "No, I saw it fell from the sky earlier"

"A mysterious notebook falling from the sky?" You shook your head, seemingly interested.

You held out your hand, gesturing for him to give you the notebook. "Here, let me see it."

Light hesitated for a moment before handing you the Death Note. As you took it, you felt a thrill run through you, knowing that you were one step closer to your goal.

"A name written in this notebook..should die?" You mutters softly, turning the coverpage of the notebook.

"Weird," You muttered to yourself, "the cover page make it looks like it's some kind of a prank but.."

You flip through the pages briefly, your eyes scanning the pages, before closing it and handing it back to Light.

You lean in closer, lowering your voice. "Do you think this is real?"

Light looked at you, a hint of skepticism in his eyes.

"Real? What do you mean?" He flipped through the pages again, stopping at one of the blank ones.

"That's impossible, who would believe it? It's just a notebook." He shrugged

"You're right, it must be a prank" you smiled "but i guess It would be nice if that is true"

Your gaze intensifies, holding his attention.

"Imagine having the power to punish those who deserve it. To bring justice to the world, in your own hands."

You pause, letting the idea sink in.

"Wouldn't that be... exciting?"

'Exciting? Or terrifying?' He glanced at the notebook, then back at you, a thoughtful expression on his face. "If this were real, it wouldn't just be about punishing criminals. Anyone could become a target."

You shrugged, feigning ignorance.

"Oh, I'm sure that depends on the person using it."

Light chuckled, shaking his head.

"I guess you're right. But why are you so interested in this notebook Ms. President, Are you hiding something?"

You gasped dramatically, placing a hand on your chest.

"Me? I'm just a curious student, Light. Nothing more."

You flashed him a mischievous grin.

"But you're right, maybe i'm being too invested." You leaned back, putting a distance between the both of you.

"I guess I will be leaving first. President duties, you know?" I sighed "Are you keeping that?"

Light looked at the Death Note in his hands, then back at you. "Why wouldn't I? It's not like i'm hurting anybody."

You hummed, agreeing before saying goodbye.

As you walk away, you hear Ryuk chuckle softly.

"That was risky, Y/n. What if he start suspecting you?"

You smiled confidently, continuing down the hallway.

"Then we'll have some fun, won't we?"

You paused, looking back where light is still standing.

"But don't worry, Ryuk. It doesn't matter if he does."

Ryuk raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Oh? And what makes you say that?"

You winked at him, walking away.

"He will use that notebook anyway, He knows that I am the only person who knows he owns the notebook."

As you disappeared around the corner, Ryuk could feel the excitement radiating from you.

"He is smart, he will figured that he need me more alive than death by that time..."

I think I'm finally worn
