CHAPTER 3

The next day as usual, I got up and went to my work place.

That day was a bit exhausting , it turned out to be really late ,it was already ten thirty p.m. when I came out of the office , so I didn't choose to take a taxi , rather I choose to take the bus which was the last bus to my house which was at ten forty p.m., i ran fast so I would  be able to catch the bus.
I reached there by ten thirty seven and had some minutes to rest for a while. The bus arrived and I got on it, I got to see only three to four people  in the bus.

I was too tired to even walk properly. It was usual for me to return late, the few lanes before my house lane was so quite.I could only hear my heels clacking .Two lanes before my house, I saw that a guy was kissing a girl, most probably his girlfriend, he had covered her up so I couldn't see the girl.I just chuckled and continued walking. As i reached my lane, I saw a guy standing in front of my house leaning on the wall. I froze. As I suddenly stepped back, he heard the sound of my heels and looked up. It was Yeong-su.
"Oh my god.. Yeong-su", I ran to him and jumped on him.
" I missed you so much...", he kissed my forhead.
"I too... I missed you really a lot, maybe more tha--"
"No.. I missed you more." He said.
He knew I loved daisy, he had bought a bouquet, it was really  pretty and it was too sweet and considerate of him to find a fresh bouquet this late at night.
"So... What about tonight? What do we do?", he asked.
" Ummm.. "
His hands crawled around my waist, with the bouquet in one hand, he pulled me closer.
I gasped and bit my lips. I pulled him closer , locking my hands around his neck , "so.. " I said.
He leaned down, closer to my face and patched his lips on mine. My hands crawled to his hairs and as my eyes shut I could feel how much I waited for to feel his touch, his lips were too nourished and soft. I was so much immersed into that I almost forgot that I was still on the road and not inside my house.

Out of no blues,I felt a bang on my head, it was so hard that I fainted and fell on the ground.

As I opened my eyes, I could see the white ceiling above me. I started looking around and realized I was at a hospital. At that moment Hannie entered the room.
"Oh Leora! You are up, thank god ", she came running to me.
" Why am I here? Where is Yeong-su?"
"You better not ask anything about that bastard to me. Let me call the doctor first ".
She was getting up and going but I grabbed her hand.
"Bastard?" I asked.
"I really can't answer to it now, first I need to call the doctor. "
" Water please. " I felt deadly, I felt as if my throat was going to tear apart, it was very dry for some reason.
"Oh you need water ,wait."
She helped me sit down, and gave me water to drink. She went to call the doctor.
I felt some pain on the back of my head, when I touched it, I felt there was bandage on my head.
"Ouch! What is this now? "
The doctor enrered the room, with Hannie behind him.
I looked at the watch and greeted him good evening.
"How are you feeling miss Leora? "
"I am feeling okay, but I am feeling some pain on the back of my head.
" Yes, it's because of the stitch. "
"Oh".
"Ms. Leora as you don't have your guardian here, we didn't have any other choice other than telling Ms. hannie. "
"May I know what?"
"Oh sorry! I didn't mention it. You have a disorder."
I looked at the doctor with widened eyes and scared.
"What kind of disorder? "
"Have you ever found yourself fainting when someone applies a little force on any part of your head? Like even a clink on your forehead? "
"Yes, quite often these days. "
"It's Vasovagal syncope, where a person is often found fainting immediately even if a little force is applied on the head. We require you to take rest for more 2 days and then you may get discharged but later you need to consult a neurologist."

I started panicking and tore my cuticle.
"Yes sir, thank you. "
He left.

"Hannie.... By the way is Yeong-su here? He must be  back from his tour?
"Don't talk about your so called boyfriend ,I mean  , first of all he was out of city leaving you alone for so many days and after coming he was accused of sexually assaulting a girl in her 20s."
"What?"
"Yes. Forget about him. First tell me why you never mentioned that you were randomly fainting like this ?"
"Yeon--"
"First answer my question. "
"I thought it was me, who was weak and fainted for such a minor thing. But what about Yeong-su? Where is he?"
"At the jail most people. The girl herself accused him of assaulting her."
"What? Hannie are you in your right state of mind? What rubbish are you saying?"
"You think I am lying? Then wait. " She takes her phone out and shows me the breaking news .
The title said 'one of the best known CEOS ,Park Yeong-su ,the CEO of Feliciano Cologne is arrested for sexually assaulting a girl in 20s on 15th March, 2024.'
I covered my mouth with my hands.
"Hannie... This isn't true, why would he--"
"I had told you, he is this kind of a guy"
"No, he isn't. "
"You were found on the ground, lying beisde him and the girl who was assaulted by him. "
I was shocked and tried to recall the situation but I was not able to recall it .
"And I heard that, no one is going  testify for him, and his side of story is not enough to prove him not guilty most probably. You should rest, and stop thinking about him because nothing is going to happen, he will be anyhow proven gulity. "
"No I can't let that happen Hannie.. He is my boyfriend and the love of my life . "
"You can't do anything, you just rest for now and stop thinking about your so called boyfriend."

" Bu the way can you please bring me my study materials? I have the test for the skin company job this Sunday. I really need to go through, I can't stay in this company anymore , I need to get the job by any means. "
"Have you lost your mind? You want to study in this state? "
"I don't have any other option and i can't loose this job opportunity by any means."
"Fine."
"Thanks Han River! Lol"
"You and your lame jokes" She sighed . 
Hannie comes back with some of my favorite snacks and my materials.
"Hannie, do you the whole scene? Like what exactly happened that evening?I can't seem to remember anything ".
She sighed heavily, " Seriously? Fine."
"Okay! "
"That evening...God I forgot"
"Hannie", I frowned
" Fine, don't get worked up".
"Don't make me! "
She made a poker face .
"So.. It's like that evening when you were back from work, your so called boyfriend was waiting to surprise you and you met him too, someone struck something really hard on the back of your head and you were left lying there at the scene. And the girl lying a bit ahead of you. The girl says she was assualted first and later on, you were also a victim in this scene."
"Oh Lord! Save me, he is my Boyfriend man, what do you mean I was also a victim? I mean, without my consultation, without investigation they concluded that I was  also the part of that scene?what rubbish? Now even if I get reminded of what had actually happened that day, it will be useless? "
"No, you can't have any investigation, our law doesn't allow people with serious brain injuries and neurological disorders  to take part in investigation because they don't realize what they speak as their mind tend to make up things on its own. "
'But I don't have any serious disorder man? I--"
"You don't remember what had happened , how can you take part in the investigation ? You are under recovery now. "
"Why can't I when I get reminded of what had happened exactly?"
"Because you can't , your boyfriend has agreed to go under investigation rather than you. "
I looked at her, opened my book and started reading as the level of frustratation was too hard for me to bear.
Why did he do so? I should support him at this time, he must be going through so much. Has he actually done it? What had happened Leora? You have to make yourself recall the moment..

Preparing , trying to think about how to make things better, time passed by and I was finally discharged. I was diagnosed for 22 days.

I thought of shifting to a new place, because I didn't find this place secure anymore. Hannie lived at my place for few days until I found a new house, to settle in. I shifted the day before my test so I wasn't able to settle all the things because  I was busy studying , all of my friends had agreed to help me out to settle the things  once I complete my test.
