Prompt A: When Romeo and Juliet meet at the party they fall in "love at first sight". Considering their age, is this real love, or simply infatuation? What is your opinion of "love at first sight?"
(Basically, this is my opinion on 'love at first sight' and whether R&J's love is real or not.)
Romeo & Juliet's Love at First Sight
Romeo and Juliet's love could be an infatuation. Romeo and Juliet are still young and their 'love' could just be a simple obsession. They are romantic toward each other, but not the kind of love some would think of. They are really into each other, but not enough to where it would be considered true love. True love is when two people are really into each other, but they've known each other for a longer time than Romeo and Juliet. Lady Capulet and Capulet are great examples of true love. Their love is truer than Romeo and Juliet's love. They've known each other for probably a long time, unlike Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are star-crossed lovers, unlike their parents. Romeo and Juliet's parents aren't star-crossed lovers, unlike their children. 'Love at first sight' is possible, but unusual.
