EVIE POV

I held tightly onto my bag, as the rain dropped onto my umbrella, a large, audible groan coming from my throat. I shook my now damp hair, which was previously very dry. But, I loved dancing in the rain, and I gotta remain optimistic, positive indeed!
I skipped, closing the umbrella as I pranced to my bus station, stopping as I approached it. I felt calm, before noticing my bully, Vale, from the corner of my eye. Unfortunately, we both simultaneously realised we were both present. 'Great.' I mumbled to myself sarcastically, loud enough that she heard it.
She walked over and sat beside me, her fists clenched, her red hair just - oh my! And by god she was hot. I know, I know she bullies me and all but hear me out.. her appearance was exactly my type. Ever since I stepped foot in my new school, I haven't been able to get her off my mind. She's always there, just living rent-free.

Well, back to the present, and not my fantasies.. Vale slapped me, so hard I almost cried. Ouch. She was the usual, dark grey clouds full of anger. And my reputation was "a ray of pure sunshine". So to promote my fantasies, and turn them into legacies... opposites attract? For me, it was love at first sight. The first view I got of her.. She was tall, perfect. She had beautifully dyed red hair, perfect. Oh - and her eyes? A beautiful iridescent sage green, that seemed to drown you. Everything was just so, perfect about her. I sighed, grimacing at my pain, before she spoke in that, lovely deep voice, 'That'll teach you to respect me.' I felt enchanted yet threatened. I bit my tongue and refused to say anything. 'Keep quiet, my "sunshine".' She mocked me through the usual nickname, sunshine. She always felt like hurting me and stuff but.. why was I still attracted to her... I stood up, as all the students filed on into the bus.

Who would've guessed my luck.. I had to be seated next to her on the bus. I kept silent, watching out of the window at the scenery, the flowers looked pretty, especially the roses. There was wilted roses, and flourishing roses. I thought the wilted roses kind of represented us. And the blooming rose symbolised Vale, the pretty girl. I was like a dandelion, a weed in the dirt, that people wished on and then threw away afterwards. Vale was distracted, so I managed to steal some glimpses at her. Her lips were gleaming and glossy, her eyes sparkled whenever she laughed. Gosh, I just wanted to hug her eternally. Then I realised she was staring at me, a raised eyebrow, and also seemed pissed off. I regretted my decision when she actually spoke to me. "Sunshine, are ya in love?" She said, before laughing her head off, accompanied by friends giggling. I mean I am, but I can't confess that... "Quit staring, okay sunshine!" She basically shouted in my ears, before smacking me hard in the face. I winced, before turning towards the window again.

Damnit.. why do I have to like this girl..? I sighed, as the bus came to a stop. We arrived at school, and as usual, my first class was Maths. I smiled as I saw my friends. I waved energetically as they passed by, a wide grin visible on my face. They calmly waved, hurrying on by to their classes. My smile weakened a little, but I continued walking to class, as I finally reached the maths classroom. I sat, leaning on the desk as I awaited for the class to begin. The teacher ranted on about some stuff. I don't really know what she said, but I heard the key points, and that's all that mattered.

I heard the bell ring, as I got up, leaving my teacher alone. I strolled through the corridors and hallways. My last class this morning was DT. I actually enjoyed that, excitement already flooding my brain. When I felt my legs slip, and a large impact from behind. I slammed against the floor, blood sprouting from my nose as it dripped. 'Ouch.' I thought to myself, placing a hand on my nose. I whisked around, anticipating who dared to push me, as I saw none other than Vale. She was smirking but unsurprisingly looked so beautiful in this lighting. Wow. Natural beauty is something else. "Meet you after class." She threatened me, and I knew this was a command for me to get beaten up by her.
